Hotel Oliveto

"Overall a very good hotel with polite staff and marvellous facilities. The hotel has two pools but the roof pool and bar is amazing offering a view of lake Garda whilst standing in a the middle of an infinity pool. Slight negative is the music ( both type and volume). It did not match the relaxing vibes that you get when admiring the panoramic view of the lake and surrounding area. The hotel is situated slightly up hill from the main centre of Desenzano. We enjoyed using the E Bike which they rent to go to Peschiera, which was equally lovely. Overall the experience was positive and we would recommend highly."

"We stayed here for a couple of days and unfortunately, the experience was nothing like what was advertised. I very rarely leave reviews, but I felt I had to this time because we were genuinely so disappointed with our stay. From the moment we arrived, the hotel just did not feel like a four star hotel. The corridors were dirty and poorly maintained, and unfortunately the room was no better. There were marks all over the walls which clearly needed cleaning and repainting, the floor was dirty and the shower had not been properly cleaned around the seals. We also had bugs and spiders in our room, which was particularly unpleasant. What made this worse was that the room was cleaned each day but these issues were simply ignored. You would expect basic cleanliness from any hotel, never mind one advertised as four star. The room itself was also very uncomfortable and outdated. There was only one working plug socket, the bed was extremely uncomfortable and the room was very noisy. The shower had low water pressure and the plug was so dirty that the water didn’t drain. The only real positive for us was the breakfast, which we enjoyed. Other than that, we were honestly counting down the days until we could leave. I have stayed in plenty of hotels over the years and I genuinely cannot understand how this is considered a four star hotel. A Travelodge would have felt like luxury in comparison. We were really disappointed with our stay and, based on our experience, we would not recommend this hotel and would definitely not stay here again."

"A super hotel with the added advantage of a wonderful rooftop terrace infinity pool, looking over Lake Garda. Well equipped rooms and lovely breakfast. Very attentive staff"
