Aqualux Hotel Spa Suite & Terme

"Lovely sized rooms and extensive buffet breakfast - juicers , waffles, fresh fruit and custom omelettes. Pool bar and restaurant - excellent service and good selection of food and drink . Staff were very helpful . In the evening the hotel restaurant serves very rich food which seemed expensive and limited so we tried the barbecue -35 Euros each in the pool area. We were served beef, pork ribs or sausage . The sausage was fine , pork ribs ere very salty and the beef was tough . The salads and vegetable bar was ver limited and we had to point out that there was a dead caterpillar on the green leaf salad . The caterpillar was taken off the salad and then the bowl put back onto the buffet !😳😬😬 Such a difference to the breakfast buffet . It was very poor value for money and not worth eating . One course was included in the 35 Euros . The WiFi is very poor and I was unable to use my kindle or laptop. Overall this is a nice hotel within easy walking distance of Bardolino but beware of the above ."

"We visited this hotel on a package break with TUI.We last visited 9 years ago and found the overall standard excellent.The staff are first class as are the amenities. The only negative observation I would make is we had half board accommodation and the choice of food was fairly limited particularly over a week.The food is good but I found myself having the same thing every night.Also after dinner there was only the pool bar open whereas it would have been better if the proper bar had been available. I noticed that at breakfast the dining area was very busy but a fraction of these people were at dinner and even less having a post dinner drink which suggests to me that they were going elsewhere for food and drink in the evening probably down to the reasons I mentioned.I felt the hotel were missing an opportunity here to keep people at the hotel which they do in other aspects. Overall though I would recommend it as there are significantly more positives."

"I certainly would be back at the Aqualux, from the moment we stepped thought the doors, the welcome from the reception staff was very warm and friendly....including the glass of Prosecco we were offered. Our room overlooked the front of the hotel, but the road outside wasn't busy so it was quiet......but we were well within walking distance to the centre of Bardolino and the lake edge. The hotel room was spotless and very modern, right down to the Circular Bed (felt like the movie Austin Powers!!!!!!!!)......At breakfast there was a very good choice off food, cooked and cold, very tasty. The only down side has two words, TOWELS, SUNLOUNGERS, every morning the towels were over sunloungers from early hours, even after the management had send a Whatapp message to ask too refain from doing it.....the management would need to take action to prevent this!!!!!!!!! But overall it was a friendly wee hotel......"
