"This hotel is fantastic for two reasons. The views, which are stunning, and the staff who are wonderful. The views from the breakfast room are remarkable, so are they if you have a room on a higher floor (otherwise your view will be blocked by trees). Very good wi fi. The hotel location is great, a short stroll along the lake front brings you to five nice resturants, a lovely small cafe a mere two minutes walk. Lecco a 20/25 minutes walk. Unfortunatly our room was small and very dowdy. A very outdated bedroom. Small balcony (with great views), but the plaster was peeling off the walls making it an unpleasant place to sit. Some rooms had clearly been upgraded (looked like those on the lower floors). Our room clearly wasn't one of them. The hotel has a small plunge pool, but really needs a full pool (plenty of space for this) and there was a lack of shade on the fifth floor guest rest areas. The hotel has lots of souless corridors. We didnt sample the resturant but did eat one evening from the bar menu on the second floor. Everything seemed reheated from frozen and was really not nice ..... it was expensive for what it was. Some drinks very expensive (e.g € 15 for a gin and tonic). So for us a mixed bag. If you get a nicer room, with a view and don't eat (or drink) from the bar menu this is going to be a good hotel for you."
