"Located literally on the corner of the Piazza Alessandro Volta, it is in an ideal location for exploring Como itself and then Lake Como as a whole.
The area has a vast array of restaurants, is a very short walk from the lake and access to the ferry and its easy to get lost strolling round the narrow streets and various squares, Como etc. Also close to train station for visits to Milan Cardano (best station for sightseeing).
In regards the hotel, am not sure about some of the previous review comments but that is their opinion and might not agree with ours but each to their own!
The entrance to the hotel is located on the side of the building seperate from the entry to the Posta restaurant but you can also access via the restaurant. The restaurant is not part of the hotel, so if you do use the restaurant and have a complaint, use the restaurant site to do so. We found the restaurant great for a snack or a nightcap!!!!
The hotel only has 14 rooms so the reception area is only small and reception is not always covered but we were made aware of this before our stay but usually around 2pm-9pm. However, throughout our stay, the reception staff were really helpful with some great advice regarding travelling locally (local market on Thursday and Saturday), ferry or train.
Their help was so useful as we had booked via TUI and if you are doing the same, be aware, this hotel is 100% digitally serviced so no rep and you have to do anything TUI related via the app or phoning the TUI Call Centre. If you want excursions/experiences these have to be done via the app or phoning.
During our stay, we found the hotel to be clean and tidy and our room (205) was appointed well. Bed was comfortable, AC worked well (great as average weather during stay was 30°-36°), large double wardrobe for storage, no bath but large rainfall shower cubicle, fitted hairdryer.
Room was serviced every day and if you needed any extra towels pillows etc the service staff were more than happy to assist.
Some people have commented about no safe but that was not the case in this room.
The only thing which people have commented on and was the case, was that there is no kettle/coffee/tea in the room but bottled water was provided. Probably no kettle etc because of the Italian coffee culture ( https://anticosoleitaly.com/understanding-italian-coffee-culture/ )
For us, we enjoyed our stay at this hotel and would definitely use it again if we return to Como in the future"
