NH Collection Genova Marina

"I stayed here with my husband for a weekend, taking the opportunity to go visit the aquarium. I must admit that the location is truly top, close to all the most well-known attractions (aquarium, galleon, Bigo, biosphere and not far from the center). The hotel is classified as 4 stars but honestly I found it a bit dated. The lobby is very modern so the impact was positive, then entering the room instead the flaws were seen. We were on the second floor in a Superior room with a view and balcony. Bathroom: tiny, if you keep the door open you don't fit, old and damaged floor, not to mention the tub-shower, tiny glass, if you use the shower you flood everything, the anti-slip mat inside is dated and all black, horrible to look at, not to mention getting in and out of the tub, as long as you are young it's okay, but for an elderly person or someone with difficulties, I see it as bleak. The room was booked for two, well, in the amenity kit there was only one toothbrush and one shower cap; soap, body lotion, shampoo, and conditioner in dispensers. A started roll of toilet paper and no refill. Room: cute but very small, like the small terrace. Minibar stocked with a coffee machine as well. Here too, the amenity kit was at a minimum: only one pair of slippers for two people... The much-touted breakfast was not up to the standard of a 4-star hotel: choice of sweets at a minimum (a few brioches and cakes), I asked for pancakes/waffles/crepes and was told that it was omelet day so they couldn't make me anything else. In short, I don't think that if I were to return to Genoa I would stay here again!"

"They gave me a room for disabled guests without informing me beforehand, which was not functional for its specific purpose; a bad odor came from the bathroom, which brightened up my stay for two days. I pointed out the problem to the reception the following morning, the morning of Friday the 23rd of this month, but the simple answer “we are sorry” seems to have been the resolution. Poor breakfast and terrible service due to poor organization (very long waits, orders passed from one waitress to another to receive an espresso after 15 min)"
