NH Collection Genova Marina

"I’ve been to many hotels and never in my life have I met receptionists as rude as the ones on this hotel! Especially one that didn’t want to let me finish talking they just assumed that I wanted to check out. I wanted that but first needed to ask if we needed the parking ticket or we could pay later (it was in the car). When they didn’t want to let me finish talking I texted my kid to come with it. When we finally got to the point with the parking it turned out I didn’t need the card they could have printed a new one. When I asked why they hadn’t let me finish talking so I didn’t have to get my kid to run from the basement they had the audacity to tell me “they are here now so what is the problem?” Second we could not believe you could feel the springs in the bed. I asked for 2 ekstra duvets because I had imprints from the metal after laying down 5 min. Again the reception was rolling their eyes but agreed to then some one up. They came and was choked, it turns out housekeeping had turned the madras upside down because of it being full of spots. But the topmadras was sown on to the madras so whoever came before us had been sleeping directly on the springs! The room was not that clean in the corners. The breakfast is the only reason the got more than 1 star. It was god. The parking is a typical Italian basement. Not that big."

"This is a stunning hotel in a great location. We were checked in by Ermanno on reception and actually had most dealings with him during our stay. He was extremely charming and helpful and dealt with everything very professionally. The breakfast had a huge choice and was served in the restaurant overlooking the marina. All the breakfast staff were friendly and helpful. They remembered our coffee requests! We had dinner in the restaurant one night - the service and food were top notch. The only negative point was with the housekeeping. Many days they forgot to leave water, they did not automatically replace dirty glasses amongst other things (Ermanno dealt with these problems effectively). Having said that, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this great hotel and highly recommend it."

"excellent location, if you want to feel the historic marina experience, next to famous pirate vessel and nest to new design of Renzo Piano Pier, you can walk to the historic old town in 5 minutes and come back. teh hotel is very well decorated, clean, and the feeling to be in a marina, instead of city-street hotels. excellent choice for Genoa."
