Later in the day, locally sourced and organic ingredients shape menus served in the garden, Liberty-style sitting room, or out on the terrace. The cooking is rooted in familiar Italian flavours, with lighter and plant-based options woven in thoughtfully rather than treated as an afterthought.

Drinks are best taken upstairs, where the sea-view terrace comes into its own. Perrier-Jouët, Dom Pérignon and smaller organic Champagne houses feature alongside an ambitious Italian wine list. The poolside bar serves cocktails worth the indulgence. Sunset, naturally, does most of the decorating.

There is no sprawling spa complex here. Instead, the hotel brings relaxation to wherever you happen to be most comfortable. Massages and private yoga sessions can be arranged in your room or on the terrace, with the sea breeze doing a respectable impression of aromatherapy.

The outdoor heated pool is an essential pit-stop on your way to activating holiday-mode. For a change of pace, there's complimentary access to a gym near the Piazzetta, with group classes and personal training available at an additional cost. Beyond the hotel, experiences range from Capri cooking lessons and guided wine tastings to cultural walks, private trekking tours and open-top taxi trips around the island.

The experiences feel well matched to the hotel itself: personal, flexible, and closely tied to Capri. You can spend the morning following old island paths, the afternoon learning a local recipe, and the evening back on the terrace with a glass of something cold. Not a bad rhythm to fall into.

Each of the hotel’s eleven rooms has its own personality, united by Art Nouveau flourishes, hand-painted majolica floors and a strong sense of place. Decorative floral motifs, Murano chandeliers, antique furnishings, and sea-inspired colours create spaces that feel distinctly Caprese rather than generically luxurious.

The standout accommodation is the Deluxe 1906 Suite, occupying the villa’s most panoramic position and featuring a private terrace with an outdoor Jacuzzi overlooking the sea. Other suites draw inspiration from some of Capri’s most celebrated villas, pairing Liberty-style elegance with terraces designed for lingering breakfasts and sunset drinks. Several categories include private outdoor Jacuzzis, while garden-view rooms offer a more secluded retreat. Whichever room you choose, the Gulf of Naples is never far from sight.
