The bus stop is just steps away, making it easy to explore Positano and Amalfi. We loved the peaceful location in Praiano and would absolutely stay here again!"

Praiano is such a lovely place to stay on the Amalfi coast, such friendly people, great restaurants and bars and without the crowds that Positano and Amalfi attract. "Hotel Tramonto d’Oro, which means Golden Sunset, is the kind of place that makes you feel like family from the moment you arrive. This family-run hotel in Praiano has a warmth you can’t manufacture. The team knew our names right away, and every interaction felt genuine and personal rather than scripted. The owners are on property every day to make sure everything is running smoothly. We were welcomed with a lovely surprise: a room upgrade, fresh flowers, and a sweet note waiting for us. It set the tone for the entire stay. The rooms have been recently renovated and are beautifully done, with a fresh, comfortable feel that still captures the charm of the Amalfi Coast. Breakfast was another standout. The included buffet had something for everyone, and we loved having omelets and eggs freshly prepared to order. The housemade croissants and pastries were a delicious treat each morning and the perfect way to start our days on the coast. The rooftop pool and bar quickly became one of our favorite spots. Lined with classic yellow and white striped umbrellas and loungers, it’s the picture of Amalfi Coast charm. We loved spending afternoons there soaking up the sun, sipping a drink, and taking in the views. Honestly, staying here was even better than staying in Positano. You get those breathtaking views of Positano and the sea, paired with a more peaceful, relaxed atmosphere that made our stay feel like a true escape. One of the highlights of our trip was Wine Stories, a private wine tasting overlooking the Tyrrhenian Sea and Positano. We sampled local Italian wines while learning unique details about each winery, which made every pour feel personal and memorable. With that view in front of us, it was truly unforgettable. The staff also went above and beyond to help us arrange a Vespa rental, which turned out to be the perfect way to explore the coastline at our own pace. They made the process easy and stress-free, just like everything else during our stay. We visited in September, and it was the perfect time to go. The crowds had thinned out, the weather was beautiful, and we could enjoy the coast without feeling rushed. If you’re looking for a place on the Amalfi Coast with stunning views, thoughtful hospitality, and a team that truly cares about their guests, Hotel Tramonto d’Oro is it. I now consider it my home away from home on the Amalfi Coast.
