An iconic boutique on the the glamorous Amalfi Coast
Like an illustration straight from a story book, Postino is a hillside town where jaunty houses seemingly built on top of one another face the splendour of the Mediterranean Sea. Quite simply, it’s difficult to think of a more fitting location for such a luxurious boutique hotel.
Le Sirenuse is a family-run property, first established in 1951. No stone has been left unturned here – from the handful of fine à la carte restaurants and bars to the carefully curated activities programme, and, of course, the breathtaking locale on the southern coast of Italy. One of the world’s most romantic, and exclusive, areas.
The Sersale family no longer live at Le Sirenuse, of course. But the warm, inviting atmosphere and eagerness to make every guest feel extra-special, lives on.

Hotel highlights
Nestled on the coast of southern Italy, in the impossibly romantic coastal town of Positino, Le Sirenuse is a dream-like setting for a summer escape. Don’t expect flat roads, generic housing or the overcrowding synonymous with other beach holidays. Do expect a uniquely charming town full of character and wonderful sights.
Due to the inspiring landscape, it's little wonder than that Positino was once home to a vibrant community of northern and eastern Europeans in the early 20th Century. The cultural effects of which still ruminate today.
We wouldn’t blame you for having sky-high expectations at dinnertime. After all, you’re on the southern coast of Italy. Le Sirenuse more than meets the challenge with a pair of à la carte restaurants that raise the bar when it comes to sophisticated Italian cuisine.
Whether you’re enjoying the freshest seafood pasta while peering out across the Mediterranean sea or a candlelit dinner of freshly shucked oysters and Neapolitan classics, every mouthful is something to savour in the moment. Plus, with two bars found on the premises, including one by the pool that does a fine line in delicious club sandwiches, those moments always come with drink in hand.
At Le Sirenuse, it’s better to think of the activities as experiences to be remembered for years to come, rather than something to pass the time. Expect leisurely pursuits, tinged with luxury, and firmly steeped in the rich history and culture of southern Italy.
From crafting one of Le Sirenuse’s signature cocktails and wine tasting with the hotel’s master Sommelier to pre-breakfast Pilates to leave you energised for the day ahead, these are sessions designed to elevate your well-being. The hotel even has a fishing boat, which you can book for excursions around the Amalfi coast and sunset cruises to remember.
The pool area is as stylish as the rest of the hotel. Shimmering in the Mediterranean sun, surrounded by bronze-tinted tiling, and directly facing the sea, expect to spend a lot of your time here.
The lounge bar isn’t forgotten in a hurry. Decked out in retro chic and boasting its own resident DJ, expect to finish up here on more than one occasion.
The spa is a space of sanctuary that boasts a sauna, granite steam bath, and an ice room. Be sure to book yourself in for one of the many spa treatments, which are carried out using the finest skincare products.
