Reykjavik Lights Hotel by Keahotels

"Myself and my wife stayed here for 4 nights on 2nd March 2026 and had a great experience! The hotel room was spacious and comfy. The only small observation is that a couple of extra hooks by the door for coats would be useful. Absolutely loved the location with mountain view to the front and around 35 mins walk into the town centre via main roads. Or 45 mins via the harbour into town. Most exersions either pick up from the hotel or from the mariot just 5 mins walk away. There is a bus stop that also takes you to town just outside the hotel although we chose to walk instead. The complimentery breakfast was very good and constantly restocked and cleaned. My wife has a wheat allergy so was slightly more limited but was happy with the boiled eggs, cured meats and yogurt with fruit. Reception staff were super friendly and helpful, if you need anything just ask."

"My friends and I stayed at Reykjavík Lights after being recommended it by family friends, the hotel was really nice and clean. The showers were super nice and the staff were extremely helpful. The breakfast buffet was yummy, I especially liked their hot chocolate. The location is a little tricky if you want to venture into further Rejkavik via foot as it’s right on the outskirts, so I’d recommend using either their busses or public electric bikes. Next door there’s a pizza restaurant, literally attached to the main building, so if you’re looking for a late night meal before going on an excursion, it’s the place to go. The excursions provided by the hotel were extremely thoughtful and well done, I’d recommend to pay the little bit extra for these excursions as you tend to get a full experience. I’d also recommend anyone considering booking excursions via TUI, don’t do it! Go for the hotel! The communication is way better, the staff are fluent English speakers and it’s overall less stress. Save your money and go hotel direct. Especially if you plan on trying to see the northern lights, they offer free hot chocolate and blankets. We had such a great time that if we came back, I’d be more than happy to use the same hotel again. "
