Hotel Lotus

"Hotel Lotus is very nice hotel. We recommend people to stay at this hotel. The rooms were clean. The complimentary breakfast was also delicious. The hotel provides free parking, but it is good 20+ minute walk to the main scenic attractions in Reykjavik. Overall, it was nice staying away from the busy area of Reykjavik to avoid the noise and traffic. The place does not have a receptionist. They instead provide by email the code to enter into the room. Being new to Reykjavik, it would have been nice to have someone greet us and provide us more information about Reykjavik. We will stay at this hotel again if we visit Reykjavik."

"We stayed here three separate times during our 11‑day trip to Iceland. We had 3 one‑night stays, and all of them were really nice. The hotel is located about a 20-30 minute walk from the city centre, and the area is quiet and peaceful. Everywhere in the hotel is clean, neat, and decorated in a cozy way. The rooms are a bit small when you have two large suitcases, but they are also cozy and have good beds. The hotel staff are friendly, and we were warmly welcomed all three times we checked in. The breakfast is simple but good and has everything you need, and during the day free cake and chocolate are available for guests. There is free parking right outside the door. The only complaint was that the rooms were quite cold, especially the bathroom, where the floor was freezing — but we did visit Iceland during the cold season."
