    At 74 metres tall, the rocket-shaped Hallgrimskirkja dominates the Reykjavik skyline and is one of Iceland's most iconic buildings. For a small fee, you can take the lift up to the observation deck where you'll be treated to spectacular panoramic views overlooking the city and out towards the mountains in the distance. It's just a 10-minute walk from the hotel.

    Just a few steps away from the hotel you'll find yourself on Reykjavik's primary shopping avenue, Laugavegur.
