"This Candlewood Suites really has it together! It was spotlessly clean, well located and well managed! My understanding is that it is only a few months old. Thanks to the friendly and efficient front desk staff that I met, Jacob and Kamil, and an also friendly housekeeper, Martina! I stayed there twice in June, 2026."

"The Candlewood Suites is a great option if you're staying in Reykjavik for a few days. The rooms are clean and comfortable and have a small kitchen area. The staff was friendly and very helpful. The location is great. There are plenty of shops and restaurants within a short walking distance and many of the tour companies will pick you up from Bus Stop #13 which is just a block away. The lobby area is very small, but they do have a nice coffee machine for guest use."

"What a great hotel! We stayed here four nights in March on a goal to see the Northern Lights. Before we left, I emailed the hotel and Kamil was a huge help with multiple emails; and he was very prompt. He said he’d try to get an early check in for us. Upon arrival Jacub (hope I spelled it correctly) was equally as helpful. He told us about a taxi app (like Uber which is not in Iceland) that was a lot cheaper than a taxi. We got into the room around 8:30am which was great! The rooms are designed for long term stays with a two burner stovetop, mini fridge with freezer section, small dishwasher, microwave, toaster, and all the pots, pans, and dishes you’d need to cook. Walk out of the hotel, take a right, go 100 yards and turn left on Laugavegur and for a mile on that street are more restaurants and shops than you can count. As is typical with hotels outside the US, rooms are smaller than you find in the US and often there is no top sheet, just a duvet. (We travel with a top sheet.) There is no food service here, typical of Candlewood Suites, but down Laugavegur there are 7-11 type stores and other places to grab food. For coffee lovers, Starbucks is less than a ten-minute walk! The room was great, service was great, and the central location worked out very well. Highly recommend this hotel."
