Hotel Kanslarinn

"Stopped here on our way around the Golden Circle and we were quite impressed - the rooms are a good size, very clean and comfortable and the hotel staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel is located close to Seljalandsfoss and Skogafoss and also only about an hour from Vik. The breakfast buffet was very good, dinner was also available but we ate at Stracta Rotin (a 5 min drive away) which was excellent."

"This is a perfectly adequate hotel for an overnight stay in Hella. The staff was helpful, and rooms were fine. Nothing fancy. The adjacent restaurant was convenient, and served a good traveler breakfast."

"After five days at the hotel, I think it's time to give some feedback. I booked my stay almost six months ago and was looking forward to a short week on the south coast of Iceland. Hotel Kanslarinn looks quite anonymous from the outside, and may not give the best first impression, but once you get inside you get a different feeling. Great, newly renovated rooms, clean and cozy, and very friendly staff. During my five days at the hotel, I also tried different dishes for dinner, both meat and fish, and both the food, prices and service were exceptional. Thank you for a pleasant stay - I recommend the hotel to anyone who is going to spend a few days on the south coast."
