Magique Bleu Suites

"We have just returned from our honeymoon and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this beautiful hotel. On arrival at 9.45pm we were welcomed by Maurice who insisted we went and got some food before checking in as the restaurant was closing. We had a few issues with our room which were all sorted very quickly. Thank you to Euan the front office and reservations manager for the lovely cake and bubbly in our room to celebrate our honeymoon it was a lovely touch. We would also like to give a big shout out to Marianthi (hope I’ve spelt this correct) in the restaurant as she always welcomed everyone with a smile every day and would make the effort to chat, also our cleaning lady was amazing always in every day asking if we needed anything I’m sorry I didn’t get her name and of course Maurice in reception always smiling and ready to help. All the staff were always friendly. The food was really good too always something new to try. We had a fabulous time and will definitely return."

"3* at best! Location is on a hillside above Tragaki beach so not ideal for anyone with mobility issues. The complex is spacious and clean with plenty of sunbeds around the communal pools. Our room was comfortable and had the benefit of a private small pool that was unfortunately out of the sun and very cold. Beds were comfortable and had 2 pillows. The maid service was daily and clean towels provided although toilet rolls seemed to be forgotten about! Food was average with but you could fill up on salad and pasta. For those who enjoy English bacon and sausages this is not the place for you. The major issue was having to walk up 19 steps from the buffet to get a table. Dangerous at times and absolutely no please and thank yous from many guests when you let them passed you. Drinks were poor quality overall. Would I return. No as better value can be found in other parts of Greece and the Canaries."

"This hotel is a family run hotel, not actually on the beach, but very close too it. It can appear confusing as it is part of a 3 hotel complex as one of three, which operates as just one hotel (with 3 separate names) Magique Bleu Suites, Mirage Bleu Suites and Mer Bleu Beach. There is one reception for all three, one bar, one restaurant and one Gym. Each hotel has a main pool for all to share plus several blocks with swim up pools on the ground floor. All the pools are at a constant depth of 1.5 metres, having access by tiled steps with good hand rails, not the metal/ladder type usually found in swimming pools and the temperature of the water was pleasantly lukewarm. The hotel (Magique) has access to the other 2 hotels via a single road that runs through the complex. This has 2 steepish slopes that may be a problem for people with reduced mobility, families with pushchairs and could become slippy in heavy rain The porters run a golf buggy regularly up and down this road, willingly stopping and pick up guests. Be aware both the main bar and snack bar are accessed by steps without hand rails and no ramp access. Food is served from the buffet on the ground floor of the main reception building, but the dining area is on the floor above with lovely mountain views. Access is via the stairs (which have no hand rails) or by a small lift. Breakfast is served in the main restaurant by reception from 715am and consisted of the usual things for a Greek hotel, with ample choices of pastries and hot food options. The dining room had a good selection of tea, coffee and juice always available. From 10.00am to 7pm, food is available from the snack bar near reception. This offers a limited selection of hot and cold snacks (toasties, hot dogs, wraps, sandwiches and club sandwiches) along with a bar service for hot and cold drinks. The main restaurant is a place for greater choice of food at lunch time than the snack bar. Each evening the restaurant offers food themes (Asian, Zantian, Italian, Greek and French). Generally the food was cooked well but some dishes lacked seasoning on several occasions. We found the selection had enough options and different food every night and lunch times. Water is offered by the glassful at every meal and a choice of wine, beer and soft drinks were also served by the restaurant staff. In the evening, most people sat by the Mirage pool bar. Be aware that there are two menus for drinks and for cocktails here, your standard all inclusive fare of drinks is free, but premium drinks come with a price tag. The entertainment in the evening, though not every night was good in most instances. There were musicians in the restaurant 2 nights and three nights in the bar area. Music was played through speakers at the bar when live music was absent Overall the staff were generally very friendly and helpful especially the reception staff and porters. Cleanliness of the hotel was to a good standard and the hotel was well maintained. The tables in the restaurant were cleared and cleaned quickly and service for drinks were very quick. Bar staff in the bar were both friendly and efficient. During our stay in September 2026, all planned building work was complete and there was no building noise. However, it is on the cards to build a third hotel where the car park is situated. This is currently spoiling the view with an unsightly view of piles of rubble and stone. Once the building work begins this will be replaced by a “hotel in progress”. Something not mentioned by others is aircraft noise. This resort does have planes flying over it, but they do not start until after 6am & finish before midnight. A small price to pay for a quick airport transfer time.."
