Galaxy Beach Resort

"I stayed at this resort at the beginning of October 2026. Excellent location directly on Laganas beach and a few steps from the center. Regarding the structure, nothing to complain about as far as the cleanliness and maintenance of the common areas are concerned. Clean and well-kept gardens. The rooms are spacious and ours was a superior sea/pool view with a nice terrace. The cuisine, despite being defined as international, favors white meats and pork for main courses and little fish for a seaside place, perhaps because the clientele, at least in this period, was mainly composed of people from Eastern Europe or even Slavs. Food overall good even if sometimes not very hot. Excellent white leather lounge on the first floor with an attached library. There were no books in Italian, I left 2 myself. I don't know if the resort is frequented by Italians in the summer. In this season we were the only ones. Many things, however, need to be improved. I was disappointed that bottled water is not provided in the rooms since the water in the rooms is not drinkable. Only one bottle upon arrival. In the Maldives they gave us 2 bottles a day! Furthermore, a detail not to be overlooked, which actually penalizes the resort, is the fact that the property's beach is for a fee, 20 euros per day (a 5-star hotel should have the beach included). Same thing for the safe, also for a fee when by now all facilities provide it for free! Another sore point! People can smoke everywhere, so even when sitting by the pool, one was forced to endure secondhand smoke, from cigarettes and electronic cigarettes, which is absolutely disgusting. I also noticed that there were many cigarette butts thrown in the green areas, perhaps with a risk of fire in the summer season. If you really want to allow smoking, it would be desirable to provide a designated area. What I noticed and what I feel compelled to point out for the purpose of future improvement is that even though there are posted rules, they are not enforced. Playing ball in the pool is supposed to be forbidden, but I was hit by a ball on my lounge chair more than once without anyone intervening. The problem is that it's not just the children but the adults too! It would be necessary to change strategy. For the loss of one rude customer, you gain 10 polite ones! At the bar, many drinks are for a fee and the cocktails included in the all-inclusive are rather watered down. Either they are offered properly or they shouldn't be offered at all, since everything is paid for anyway. In other facilities, the cocktails were made to perfection, not watered down! It pained my heart to see all this plastic waste from used cups. Even if I hope it is recycled, it is still disrespectful to the environment, also because cups and straws were often found lying around. I understand that it is the rude customer's fault, but the environment suffers for it. It would be better, as I found in other Francorosso resorts, to provide a cup in exchange for a token given with the first drink, and by returning the used cup you could get another drink, and without a token you wouldn't get a drink. Everyone followed the rules! I found it an excellent, environmentally friendly strategy that avoids waste. The tourist tax is among the most expensive I have paid; in fact, I would say the most expensive. 15 euros a day is really a lot, considering that what is offered is not up to the standard of a 5-star hotel! The reception staff, always rather gloomy, does not provide correct information and speaks only English and Greek. In fact, I asked if the tourist train stopped in front of the hotel and I was told no, that I had to go catch it on the Main Road, but that was not the case because the train later made a stop in front. For heaven's sake, I am capable of walking, but I would not have rushed out at 8 in the morning! In short, by appreciating the positive elements, the shortcomings can be corrected, improving the quality of the entire property! In conclusion, "We can do better!""

"Staff we very friendly and helpful Rooms were clean and comfortable and maid visited everyday All inclusive food very hit and miss, not a massive choice and replenished slowly All inclusive drinks not the best, Rolalacola on tap, the cola zero was disgusting, local spirits were hit and miss, the so called whisky was undrinkable. The beer was ok and we had this brand before at other all inclusive hotels. The location of the hotel is good, right on the beach, beach sunbeds not a part of all inclusive and you have to pay extra Marked as a 5 star hotel ( €15 per night tourists tax) I'm not even sure it's a 3 star"

"We stayed at Laganas Beach Resort for one week as a family of four. Overall, we had a lovely holiday and found the resort to be a nice place to relax. The room was clean, but unfortunately it was very small for a family of four. We booked through On the Beach, and the standard room looked much bigger in the photos, so we were quite disappointed when we arrived. For a family of four, we found the standard room quite cramped. On the positive side, the food was good, with a nice variety and different options every day. The resort itself was lovely and had a relaxing atmosphere, which was perfect for a family holiday if you are looking to unwind. Overall, we enjoyed our stay, but the size of the room was definitely the main disappointment. I would recommend checking the room size carefully when booking, especially if travelling as a family of four."
