"The location was great, the accommodation was terrible. Plenty of restaurants available. The 2 reception staff were very pleasant. The rating quoted on the Jet2 website was a local 4 star with a Jet2 rating of 3 stars plus.
On arrival 8/9/25 at what was advertised as a self-catering apartment we found the following defects:
Kitchen:
• No Toaster (subsequently provided after asking for one)
• 1 Wine glass (a second provided after asking for one)
• No sharp knife for cutting bread etc (we bought one to save any further hassle)
• No dish towel
• No ice tray in the freezer (subsequently bought one)
• Coffee making facilities was a cafetire
Bathroom:
• The hair dryer fell off the wall (handyman put it back in place where it thankfully stayed put)
• Said hair dryer had a faulty handle mechanism where you had to wrap a towel around it in order to dry your hair and avoid a burn. Handyman said he would order a part but never arrived (Incidentally the reception had no note of this incident)
• The bath had a rusted overflow which had marked the bath itself
• The WC looked as if it hadn’t received a thorough clean in years
• It also leaked and whilst the handyman claimed to have fixed by using silicon sealant, the leak returned (In my opinion, it needed re-plumbed)
• All the taps etc were pitted through age
• The bathroom window could not be opened and as there was no extractor fan in place, after showering, the mirror took an age to clear
• The inside bathroom door handle was cracked and whilst this was fixed, a previous comment on the website offered a similar comment
General Defects:
• Cracked light switch meant second balcony light was out of commission
• Other light switches looked rusted with unusually large gaps from the wall fixing
• Broken bracket in wardrobe meant clothes rail was attached to a screw from the fixing
• The roof top bar was closed for the duration of our stay, but Jet2 have dealt with this under separate cover
• There appeared to be an overall shortage of staff which meant the reception was not always manned as the staff (who incidentally were excellent) often appeared to be called away to deal with other matters
I have to say that this is the worst accommodation we have ever had to endure, this place is like Greece of the late1990s, early 2000s, which we have experience of. There is absolutely no way that in 2025, it’s a gamble as to whether or not the shower will be hot or cold. Also, the subject of not being able to flush toilet paper should have been settled years, if not decades, ago.
Finally, my challenge to Jet2 is to have someone in authority, review room 213 and not the recently renovated, handpicked rooms, that the managers display on their website. Let them then comment on their company’s 3 star+ rating.
We complained whilst we were on holiday with the Jet 2 rep.
Jet 2 have replied to our letter of complaint and agreed that a higher level of maintenance and cleanliness would be expected from a 3.5-star property and were sorry the apartment wasn't allocated to us in a better condition.
However, Jet 2 did recognise the apartment should've been maintained to a better standard , and have since accepted compensation for our bad experiences.
I hope the room 213 has been looked at and some maintenance has been carried out to a high standard."
