"We have just come back from staying at Papillon Hotel for 11 nights.

Lots of positives
*Great transfer time, took around 15 minutes.
*location of the hotel is perfect if you like being close to shops & Tavernas.
*The beach is literally across the road which you can access via a little side entrance by the hotel restaurant. Plenty of beach bars for good food, drinks & great views.
*The hotel is kept exceptionally clean and tidy.
*The pool area is again kept clean & plenty of sunbeds available.
*Breakfast Buffet was ok, typical breakfast options of hot food & pastries.
*Every single member of staff were nothing but friendly & helpful the whole time.
*Food & drinks were pretty much standard prices eg 3€ cans of pop, 1€ big bottles of water & happy hour on cocktails 2pm-8pm.
*The beach restaurant Solesea is also owned my this hotel so the menu is the same across the road there. Stunning sunset view from there.
*Supermarkets across the road to get snacks & drinks for the room.
* Hairdryers and irons are not in the rooms but if you ask at reception they can be provided from there.
* we stayed in rooms 428 & 429 , pool view, modern rooms, not a lot of storage but we made it work.
*Beds ok, could have been softer mattresses but they were fine once you got used to them.
* Lounger towels are not provided so you would need to ensure you take your own.
*Air con is chargeable but worked well in the rooms we had. So definitely worth it.
Our only negative was that being in the block we were in, we were above the road which at night proved to be quite noisy. Now I do think the fact the World Cup is on played a big part as the pubs/club at the end of the road stayed open for every game so when the games were on early hours it would become quite rowdy. There was a couple of nights that there was shouting in the street (not linked to football noise) & revving of bikes/quads that disturbed us all.
But I think these rooms are adults only as I didn’t see any children our side and that may explain why. We didn’t complain as it wasn’t a huge issue for us but if you don’t want to be disturbed then maybe request to avoid rooms 423-434 & 501-505.
Overall a beautiful hotel & great time had by all 😊"
