"Just back from a week in this hotel and we were largely very impressed with what the hotel had to offer. We stayed as a couple, aged 28 & 34.
Checking in was easy and hassle free. My first point of contention was around the air con. I know it’s stated that the air con is a charge, but why? We arrived in 40 degree heat and you have to pay 9/10 euro per night for air con. Seems a complete rip off to me where other hotels in the area it’s free at least in July/August. We spoke to loads of people in resort and not sure any other hotels charge. Seems like a bit of a hidden cost, just put it in with the price surely?
The room itself was lovely, not loads of space but we always use packing cubes which helped massively plus my partner took an extra couple of hangers. Always cleaned daily and the shower was good, beds comfy.
Breakfast was good, basic but good and we always found something to start our day off. I was happy enough with fried eggs on toast and my partner liked the feta cheese with some salad bits plus pancakes and croissants were good. Very nice coffee too. Breakfast staff were always very happy and polite.
My main issue is the poolside bar. The main aim there seems to be get as much money as they can from you, and the lads behind the bar are miserable unless you are a young girl (shocking I know). There’s a deal on the chalk board for a burger and chips 10 euro, I ordered a chicken burger and was charged 15 euro because ‘you have to specify you want the deal’. Thats not a deal then is it, that’s charging you less, for a burger which isn’t as good as the one on the normal menu… bizarre! Then the soft drinks are 3 euro a can, where the supermarket or other bars in the area charge 2 euro max. So yes, don’t bother eating or drinking here is my advice, plenty of nice places around to eat, better food and cheaper.
Location is excellent, right next to the bars and restaurants. We recommend serenity and red wine close by for food and we liked jungle bar and beer academy for drinks. The mini golf up the street is a must, great fun.
Pool area is one of the best I’ve stayed at, always could get a lounger and the pool is lovely. Sunbeds were comfy too and each pair had an umbrella with plenty of space to move around.
The beach is close by but not our cup of tea, it’s tiny anyway.
We really enjoyed our stay.
Overall I probably sound like I’m complaining but the pool bar didn’t wind me up enough to take more than a point off the score - would I come back? Definitely as long as the price beat other hotels when factoring in the air con cost!"
