Alkistis Apartments

"A lovely hotel out of the town in the peaceful countryside.We stayed here for two weeks and had a very relaxing Greek holiday. A good breakfast ,clean and spacious air conditioned rooms and a fantastic pool,with staff who nothing was ever too much trouble. The walk into town is all down hill but there are no paved areas,and comming back to the hotel there is the bus that runs up and down frequently,and on time. We found this a great base to explore this very Greek island as a couple."

"The hotel is an apartment style with self catering. There are food options available but we did not buy into them, so no comments. The rooms are quite spacious and sufficiently equipped. Not of a grand style but comfortable. Rooms are also cleaned. Good size pool on site with a swim up pool bar. Sun loungers or tables and chairs around the pool area. The hotel also provides a shuttle bus service daily to the nearby port area."

"My sisters and I visited Alkistis in the middle two weeks of June. When we arrived, one of my sisters almost cried as the apartment was so perfect, and we couldn't believe our luck. We had asked for a room on a higher floor, and we got just that. We self catered a lot, and having been to Greece many times, we knew just what to expect. The sheets were regularly changed, the shower had constant hot water, and when our soap dispenser ran out it was replaced. Originally, our shower didn't work too well, but when we reported it, the shower head was replaced quickly. The cleaning was perfectly fine as all we were concerned about was the emptying of the kitchen and toilet bins, which were always taken care of. Washing up was our responsibility as was the buying of washing up liquid. We took advantage sometimes of the regular shuttle bus when we didn't walk into town; sometimes getting it later at night back from town. We ate breakfast once at the hotel, which was lovely. Although we didn't eat any other meals there, this was because we chose not to as we loved having dinner on the balcony. Loved the pool, really nice music and not too loud either. The view from the balcony was beautiful and we loved hearing the wildlife all around and also being able to sleep with the windows open. Chrisoulla, Julia and the other staff were lovely and we really really want to come back next year."
