Villa Michalis

"Very much recommend these apartments. We booked a package deal with Easyjet and the experience has been very good. On arrival at the airport, an Easyjet rep directed us outside to a colleague, who took our details and told us which room number was ours and said key would be in the door. Our luggage was labelled and transported separately. We got straight onto a minibus and were at Michalis within about 20 mins or so. Sure enough key was in the door. Our cases arrived shortly after next to the accommodation. Next to the apartments is Sunrise Taverna and a small shop which sells mostly everything you need. I was expecting the apartment to be basic which it is, but is spotlessly clean and I was pleasantly surprised how nice they are. Looks like there has been a recent refurbishment too. They are small studio apartments located next to a lovely small pool. There are a few plates, cups, glasses and cutlery supplied. A small portable 2 ring cooker with oven and grill for basics like toast etc. A kettle and coffee perculator also supplied. Plenty of sunbeds and very, very peaceful. The room has 3 single beds with a kitchenette and small bathroom. Each room has their own terrace overlooking the pool and lots of privacy. Room is cleaned daily and towels are changed each day too. We stayed 6 nights and had bedsheets changed halfway too. This is an ideal base for a relaxing and peaceful holiday. Walking distance to the beach and lots of pool bars and tavernas nearby. Bus stops close by too should you wish to travel further afield. Shop supplies more or less everything you need plus there are plenty more shops close by. The owners have a sports bar up the road and are available there should you need anything. There are also bells at the complex to ring them and they come straight down to sort out any issues etc. This was a bargain holiday and am very pleased I booked here. My only minor gripe , would be that the air con units are very loud. We did not pay for air con but you can hear them from neighbouring apartments during the night. However, this is only a minor thing and it would not deter me from visiting again. Owner is very friendly and helpful as are everyone in the area. It has been a very pleasant experience all round. We visited Skiathos Town once on the bus during our stay and although nice to go and see, I am very glad I picked Troulos and these apartments."

"we came here for our 2nd visit and would say there have some improvements from last year - firstly the mattresses on beds in apartments! so much better this year all changed & we go curtains while there which work much better than just a bit of netting up. This is basic accommodation with a pool that is quiet it is like having your own villa in the last 2 years we have been in May. The cleaner is in everyday & works very hard she is lovely. Depending on who you fly with your cases may arrive separately these will not take long to arrive they may arrive before you do! If nobody is there to meet you it is a little strange if you havent been before but just nip to the Sunrise Taverna that is next door & they will ring for the keys to be brought to you - or check the doors of apartments & your keys maybe in them. Internet isnt very strong in the evenings if you rely on this for something. Another good time here, what i like is the flexibility and you don't have a pool bar so you can use your own drinks & snacks."
