Skiathos Somnia

"We stayed in 206 on the 2nd floor with a lovely sunny balcony over looking the pool. Our room was kept spotless and beds made daily with fresh towels provided. In the kitchenette was a kettle, hob, microwave toaster and large fridge with a freezer compartment. There may have been more kitchen items but we didn’t use the kitchen much. Our bathroom was super with lovely hot water at any time of the day , and again, kept spotless by our maid. The pool was the centre of a lovely courtyard type area, nice and sunny with comfortable Mattresses for the sunbeds. No mad rush to reserve them either which meant we could enjoy a lie in before heading to the pool about 10.30am. There are actually signs on the parasols forbidding you to leave towels on beds and people seemed to respect that rule. We had breakfast from the pool bar which was good, eggs cooked to perfection. The toasties were good for a late afternoon snack. Again this whole area was kept immaculate at all times. Not once during our week did I see a mess, rubbish or dirty plates left out. This little jewel of a place has a perfect location as it’s right next to bus stop 0 and literally a stones throw away from the port bars and restaurants. George Linda and especially Kiki were brilliant and made us feel so welcome. Even our maid who’s name I can’t remember hugged us when we left. Such a lovely woman. I genuinely believe you will not find a team like this anywhere else. We absolutely will be back."

"We had a lovely stay at somnia we were a family of 3 in a one bedroom apartment I was slightly concerned how the beds would work as we have a teenage son but needed to worry it has a separate living area with a double bed so plenty of space we had another 1 bedroom apartment that slept my elderly parents which was on the ground floor, the rooms are basic you get what you pay for but so clean every single day , great kitchen area with everything you need a Lidl has just opened and is great as it’s a 5 min walk,we had other family members staying at a luxury hotel and loved our apartments and there was no problem with all 12 of them coming down to somnia, it was so quiet and peaceful being end of September/Oct, location is perfect right at the end of the port so 10 mins to the centre so many restaurants on your door step to the left of the hotel it’s a 5 min walk to plane stopping which is a must, George and family really looked after my parents and my Dad loved it, room tax was €20 for 10 days which was so good , great stay had by all"
