Elivi Skiathos

"Lovely location .. x our 2nd visit to this hotel . Great rooms & balcony’s as low level accomadation. Not sure we would splash out to a room with its own pool in May as weather can be changeable. Beautiful beaches.We stayed bed & breakfast both times as there are so many local authentic tavernas with great atmosphere to try to suit all budgets .Staying in the grace area both times x perfect location in koukanaries to eat locally or jump on bus to skiathos town .The island has it all and could return time & time again . We went on a day trip to Skopelos & ellinos which was great . Skopelos had a very calm and magical atmosphere as we had drinks & lunch by the port. Ellinos was more rural and steeped in history. Elvi staff were very helpfull.Very much a beach destination holiday."

"From our considerable travel experience we need to be clear that the Elivi is definitely not a 5 star resort. Far from it. The only positives from our recent stay are its location and views. The only positive with our “ junior suite “ was the comfy bed. If you are contemplating booking a Nest junior suite please be aware of the extremely impractical shower, toilet and basin which are ‘open’ and on view from the bed and sitting area. The staff were very hit and miss. The buggy chauffeurs were generally very helpful as opposed to the indifferent reception, bar and restaurant staff members. For the price we paid we expected so much more. A very disappointing stay overall."

"We stayed last week in September at Elivi in Skiathos and were greeted by a beautiful location high above the beach with a nice view. The hotel is spread over a large area with long and steep paths, but the internal transport, including to the beaches, works effectively and helps a lot. We had booked a junior suite with a sea view and a private pool. The view was excellent, but the interior does not meet the 5-star standard. Bathroom, bedroom and living room are combined in one room, and in the middle of the room the floor is lowered with approx. 40 cm level difference and two steps. After our assessment, this is a clear security risk. On the very first night my wife fell down the stairs and hit both her hip and her head. The episode was violent, not least because she had a new knee operation a few months ago. But she left without a break or a wound. We notified our insurance company, which has opened a case. When we reported the incident to the reception, they were ready to refer to the doctor's office, but no follow-up was made by the hotel. It seemed strange. Generally, the staff were friendly and helpful. The evening menus (main course) consisted of the same few dishes every day, which gave a very limited selection and did not meet the expectations for a hotel in this category. The hotel has a beautiful location and good facilities, but the overall impression – especially the security as described and the lack of variety in the gastronomy – means we cannot recommend Elivi as a 5-star hotel. The weather was quite bad with only 3 decent sunny days in a week, but this cannot be blamed on the hotel. :-)"
