"The worst of places in Perissa. When I arrived there us no check in. No passport check. Key in door. Room very airy and light and superficially clean. Lots of cracks in walls and floor. Has just been painted over to cover them. No water so on arrival late in the day and not knowing where to go not even a small bottle of water! No kettle or drinking facilities. Cheap and nasty smelling shower/shampoo gel. Crispy off white/grey towels. Bedding had stains on the sheets and pillow cases and the pillows themselves were badly stained and very lumpy. Bed was uncomfortable and overly soft mattress. Shower has no curtain or screen but that’s ok just the overhead shower spray did not work properly and dribbled out so had to use the hand held part. Manky toilet brush in holder. Toilet not been bleached properly in years. Heavily stained. Rusty old fridge which worked ok but just not pretty. Breakfast was paid for. The room was open between 8-10:30am. On offer was stale bread, a toaster that burnt the bread as the temperature gauge did not work. Wafer thin ham and cheese cut into half. Stale cake. Hard boiled eggs that I don’t know how old they were but definitely not fresh. Cereal was cornflakes and some chocolate ball things. Greek yoghurt. Milk. Coffee. Black tea only. Margarine sachets. I went most days but only for coffee as the rest was inedible. However the last 2 days had to ask to open and no food was offered just coffee! The swimming pool is nice. The bar at the front of the villa is very weird. There’s a guy that literally chases people and cars up the road trying to entice you in. There were very few people in there guess it’s the start of the season. The old guy that runs it is lascivious and misogynistic and needs to learn how to behave with women. The food is ok but the drinks are weak and expensive. You’re offered free sun beds as a guest on the beach. The service is atrocious. Regularly forgotten orders. The girl is sweet and friendly though. However they appear to be at war with the bar next door. So I went in to have a drink one evening and they point blank refused and told me to leave and go next door saying “rules are rules” and that there would be trouble if I drank there!!! I mean really? Anyway I did enjoy the other end of Perissa and Perivolos and the saving grace for Paralia Diamond Villa is Alex. He is fun. Bright. Intelligent. Interesting. Works hard and is the fount of all knowledge. Will try his hardest to make your stay good. Has limited staff and resources. The owner needs to wake up and smell the coffee. Put some money into the place and get rid of the idiot at the front of house in the bar. Chasing people up the street is really not a good look or vibe and puts so many people off in fact sometimes it’s a little scary"

"At first glance the hotel looked beautiful, until check-in. I was notified the room booked was unavailable, and whilst I was offered a room upgrade, I was told that if the upgraded room had been reserved by another guest my child and I would have to vacate the room and be moved again. Ultimately, I was shown two different rooms- both were dirty. The double room had hair follicles in the bed, shower and throughout the apartment. The lack of basic essential facilities- including clean bedding, clean towels, hot water and drinking water, was unacceptable. Having been told that there were no available kettles as the hotel only have 6 for 24 rooms was shocking. Bed sheets had brown stains, floor was filthy. And lacked basic hygiene. Whilst Alex was aware of the concerns, and tried his best to be helpful, the issue was not resolved. Reception was closed and locked from 8pm as Alex works 8am-8pm. And After a day of travel this was shocking. I agree with other reviews that the hotel is under staffed and are in need of a thorough, and major deep clean, investment and more staff is needed. It is evident that the owner is cutting costs, and avoiding the necessary investments such as adequate staff on site, basic hotel facilities, and upkeep of the premises. I left Paralia Diamond Villa the same evening and booked a different accommodation, due to poor health and safety conditions and lack of basic essentials for myself and son, and no staff on sight to help despite addressing concerns. They denied my complaint to EasyJet Holidays regarding cleanliness, and all factors I raised with supporting evidence, and decided to lie, saying I wanted to stay elsewhere with friends elsewhere despite traveling solo with my 4 year old son, and not knowing anyone in Greece. They Refused to take any accountability, and responsibility, so now getting legal help to escalate. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!! Shocking experience"

"Alex looks after every single guest like a personal friend and nothing is too much trouble. The apartment was clean, nicely decorated and comfortable. If you need anything just ask Alex and he'll sort it out for you. A beautiful poolside area to relax in and right opposite the beach with fabulous restaurants like Pescador nearby. Friendly, charming and accommodating."
