"I have to start by saying this hotel, its staff, facilities and food are truly five-star in every sense. Our stay has been unforgettable.
The price point is slightly higher than many of the other hotels on the island, but you really do get what you pay for. If you can stretch your budget a little, I genuinely don’t think you’ll be disappointed.
Location-wise, the hotel is around 15 minutes from the capital and approximately 25 minutes from Oia. The hotel can arrange private taxis to and from both, typically costing between €35 and €50. If you have no desire to explore the island, the local town is just a two-minute walk away, with plenty of shops, restaurants and bars. The nearby beach is pebbled, exactly as you’d expect from a volcanic island, and is beautiful in its own way.
The atmosphere throughout the hotel is calm, peaceful and incredibly relaxing. The pool area is stunning, with beautiful loungers and stylish furniture. The staff around the pool constantly go out of their way to make sure you’re looked after—nothing is ever too much trouble.
We had originally booked a villa with a private plunge pool. Unfortunately, due to a booking error, we were initially placed in a villa without one, although we were assured we’d be moved as soon as one became available. Romina, the Head of Operations (apologies if I’ve got her title/name slightly wrong), couldn’t have handled the situation better. She was genuinely apologetic and went above and beyond to make things right, upgrading us from half board to full board at no extra cost, as well as arranging complimentary full-body massages for both my partner and me. True to her word, we were moved into a villa with a plunge pool the following day.
Romina was exceptional throughout our stay. She checked in with us on several occasions to make sure everything was perfect and that we were enjoying ourselves. Her genuine care for our comfort and happiness was evident, and the rest of her team reflected exactly the same attitude. The service was outstanding from start to finish.
Breakfast is a continental buffet with fresh fruit, yoghurts, pastries, and all the usual hot breakfast favourites, alongside some delicious local Greek dishes. It was genuinely one of the best hotel breakfasts I’ve experienced.
Lunch is more relaxed, offering dishes such as pizzas, burgers and Greek salads, but everything is prepared and presented to an exceptionally high standard. It’s casual dining done brilliantly.
Dinner is a more refined experience, with beautifully presented dishes, excellent service and a lovely atmosphere by the pool. After chatting with several members of the waiting staff, I was surprised to learn that some were new and still in training—you simply wouldn’t know. Romina clearly sets an incredibly high standard, and it’s reflected throughout the entire team.
The dinner menu changes five times a week, while breakfast and lunch remain consistent. On two evenings each week there’s also live music during dinner, which creates a lovely atmosphere.
The villas are beautifully furnished—think Zara Home styling throughout. The bedding, pillows and mattresses are all excellent quality. I have two slipped discs, yet I slept better here than I have in a long time. The entire hotel is immaculately maintained, and facilities such as the gym feel almost brand new.
Finally, I’d like to give a special mention to Romina and the restaurant team. The warmth, care and professionalism they showed throughout our stay made us feel completely at home. While Santorini is small enough that you can explore much of it within a week, it’s the experience at this hotel that will bring us back.
Thank you for making our holiday so special.
