Boutique base in Kamari
Contemporary meets classic at the Mar n Mar Crown Hotel and Suites. The hotel looks traditionally Greek with its sugar-cube like buildings and mountainous backdrop, but head inside and you’ll find stylish modern interiors.
You’ll find this place within a five-minute walk of one of Santorini’s iconic black-sand beaches – put one foot in front of the other and you’ll be paddling in the Aegean Sea before you know it. Kamari’s beachfront road is lined with cafes, bars, and restaurants, so you’ll be well-placed to make the most of the resort. The hotel is also just around the corner from the start of a zigzag-like hiking trail that takes you all the way to Ancient Thira in about 30 minutes.
Back at the hotel, guests are welcomed with friendliness and Greek hospitality, as well as a daily traditional breakfast buffet – expect the likes of freshly-made bread, spanakopita, fresh fruit, and local cheeses. The pool area is a great place to chill out during the day – it’s lined by loungers, and there’s a poolside bar for drinks and snacks. For even more relaxation, head to the spa for massages and beauty treatments.

Find out more about Kamari
Kamari is probably best known for its incredible black-sand beach – a striking reminder of the island’s volcanic origins. But the beguiling, Blue Flag-certified sands aren’t the village’s only spectacle – its gleaming whitewashed buildings literally sparkle in the Aegean sunshine.
