By the beach base in Kamari
You’ll find the family-run Lefkothea Hotel in a central spot in Kamari, a relaxed seaside town that’s home to whitewashed village and a seriously swoon-worthy coastline complete with volcanic black sand.
The hotel’s location is a real winner – it’s just 100 metres from the beach, and within a stones’ throw of a choice of bars and restaurants. Plus, the centre of Fira is within a 15-minute drive.
There’s no pool at the hotel itself, but you can be rolling out your towel on the sands of Kamari Beach within a couple of minutes, meaning sunbathing and swimming sessions are covered. Before you head out for the day, be sure to help yourself to the buffet in the breakfast room.
