Amphitryon City Hotel

"This is not a 4 star hotel. The saving grace was the amazing location. The pool area and breakfast are good. However, that's really where the positives end. We were in room 203, the sewage smell coming from the bathroom is absolutely disgusting. You can see the literal sewage under the drain in the bathroom and it's just foul. The balcony door is not double glazed and therefore the road is extremely noisy. The aircon is also ridiculously loud, we would turn it on before bed but then have to switch it off hoping we would fall asleep before the room heated up. The room is dated and is in need of refurbishment. Disappointing for the amount I paid."

"This hotel is in a fantastic location, the atmosphere here is quiet and relaxed (May). You'll get a good night's sleep. Lots of hot water for a shower as long as you want. The rooms are somewhat basic but comfortable, spotlessly clean and are kept that way by the lovely staff. Great value I'd say, the food is also good. The staff at this hotel make it, so friendly, nothing is too much. It isn't a 5 star hotel, so don't expect it. But the staff are! I enjoyed every minute of being here."
