Sunrise Beach Resort

"I was so pleased when I booked this hotel. However after reading some of the reviews I started to doubt my decision. I travelled alone and felt very apprehensive before my outward bound flight. To my absolute relief the hotel was so much more than I could have hoped for. I arrived at 4am totally shattered but George, the. Concierge was fab. He is such an asset to the hotel. I hope he is there next time I visit. He completely looked after me and brought a lovely plate of food. Honestly, this hotel has so much to offer. Please do not be put off by negativity. The setting is absolutely blissful. The staff are great and the food was superb. It was a very happy place. Yes the wine could be improved on but the beer was great. I am already looking to book again. I would like to mention one very special lady, Sofia who worked in customer relations. So dedicated to making your holiday special. Thank you Sofia. "This hotel is in a fabulous lication right on the beach with nice views. This is the only positive! Arrived at 2200 to be offered an indescribable sandwich which was inedible. The food was awful, mostly inedible never hot poorly described & sometimes dangerous as in raw chicken skewers. Drinks were as bad as the food. Wine from boxes with no taste, cheap vodka gin & rum with no other spirits, beer weak, water cost extra along with fresh orange jiuce at 3 euros a glass? Bar closed at 2300 every night but you could go to the beach shack but you had to pay. Al a carte restaurant was a pre ordered menu day in advance of 1 salad between 2, choice of 3 mains & 2 deserts oh and the wine you had to pay for. Room was visited every day with fresh towels but no sign of cleaning. The terrace was not touched the whole week we were there. Staff were uninterested at best but surly at worst except for Maria at the pool bar who was excellent. Overall this is a 2 star hotel offering the very least for maximum reward offering an all inclusive LITE basis. Wish I'd stayed in self catering"

"Beautiful hotel ,lovely bay ,we had a fantastic room with a swim up pool and the food is lovely ,however if your British do not go .Not sure if they have had bad experiences before with Brits but we are an older couple who are quiet and polite but as a Brit you are definitely treated as second class .The reception team are the rudest I have ever met in the world ,they dismiss anything you ask and ignore you .There are a few pleasent waiters and the cleaners and pool man are delightful but the rest are rude and unpleasant..I didn't change my manners all holiday but was tempted ."
