"Where to start! We booked this hotel as a last minute deal with Jet2 and so glad we did. From arriving at the hotel reception where we were warmly welcomed by all the family, we immediately knew this would be a well maintained hotel.
We where then allocated our superior sea view room (room 5501) which was at the top of the hill but so worth it for the views. A buggy does take you to your room and there is a lift option to break the walk up the hill but it is worth it.
The block we stayed in had well maintained lifts that you never had to wait for. The room was quiet and afforded a good nights sleep.
The room itself is fantastic and has everything in it that you need. Jet2 website picture do not do it justice. They have added so much attention to details, such as the dressing table with LED lights which help for a dimmer light in the eventing. The small coffee station is a wonderful touch alongside the fridge even though in is Bed and Breakfast. Beds are extremely comfortable as is the couch to sit on. Rooms are spotlessly clean and bins are emptied daily. We were also able to book our room (small cost) for late checkout on arrival which is unusual and fantastic. Air con in the room is fantastic and cools quickly.
Breakfast is fantastic with again amazing views out to sea with option to sit in the sun or under shade. Food choice and quality was plentiful and everything tasted fantastic. We did have an issue with lunch one day that we purchased but this was rectified immediately.
Swimming pool area is fantastic and again spotlessly clean. There are poolside toilets that are modern and again clean throughout the day. Sunbeds are of good quality, comfortable and plentiful. Every two sunbeds also come with a parasol and when there small safes were also added to them. No matter the time of day, sunbeds were available. Sunbed area also has a fantastic view.
Beach area can be rocky but it was still nice to have access to go for a swim in the sea.
Well stocked supermarket onsite which I believed was of good value and no more expensive than others.
Only area I feel that is open for improvement is menus or a QR code to be placed on the tables with the sunbeds to allow viewing to order. Staff do come round to take orders but are not always clear what is available.
As we were departing after the most amazing and relaxing week, the family were there again to bid there guests farewell also providing a cold bottle of water for the long journey back to the airport. Whilst this might sound simple, it is these small touches that would certainly ensure my return.
Jet2 advertise this hotel as a three star, which I would dispute - I have been to higher rated hotels than this which have been no where near the standards of Palm Bay Hotel."
