Lindian Dream Seaside Resort

"This hotel was built in 2001 and unfortunately hasn't been maintained so the quality is now way short of 5* Our first room we had issues with air conditioning & shower not working so we asked to be moved which they did. The next room had various issues over the time we were there & each time maintenance resolved them but everything is dated, tired & worn out - blocked drain, broken toilet brush, a kettle that blew the electrics, bath robe with a tear in it, bathroom extractor that didn't work & we were told that's just how it is! Style is very dated, discoloured grouting etc The staff resolved the issues but in reality this hotel needs money spent to update it. It was really disappointing when we thought we were coming to a 5* hotel. The location is lovely & quiet with access straight onto a beach for sea swims in clear waters. It's rocky so you need swim shoes. Nice to have loungers on the beach & able to order drinks from the pool bar to be delivered to you. Plenty of beach towels to use, but again very old & worn. The lounger cushions are also old & stained, again just not what you expect in a 5* hotel. The pool is nicely designed, large & plenty of loungers. Quiet as this is an adults only hotel. Food in the pool bar was reasonably priced, lovely view over the sea. Staff were mixed, some friendly & smiley, others seemed sad. Lindos is 20 mins walk on decent path (or cheap bus ride) so not too much effort to eat out. We didn't eat in main hotel restaurant as it seemed expensive (45€ each) & the menu not inspiring. Breakfast buffet was varied and plentiful although after a few days they ran out of butter! We made the most of our stay, visiting some beautiful parts of this island."

"The location is in a nice bay ,a little bit remote for us as we like to eat traditional greek food which was a bus ride away! The atmosphere in the hotel was most strange, didn, t feel like we were in Greece with Indian music playing in the beach bar! There were a few friendly staff but most weren,t.Breakfast staff were miserable except for one young man! Room was nice, bed comfy, asked reception for an iron 2 days in a row, never got it! missed our cleaning one day and never changed the bed! Very quiet as most people went out in the evening as food was very expensive and not very greek! No rush for sunbeds, some were quite tired looking, need shoes to go in sea! Peaceful around the pool! Bar staff were friendly and efficient private beach was nice but people with children kept coming on beach and 4 times I had to tell staff when they could clearly see from the beach bar and the lifeguard was also watching and did nothing!"

"Booked Lindian Dream through Tui and stayed a week, end of September into October on a half board basis. Arrived around 10:30pm to be told that our room had been upgraded. Being on half board I asked what was on offer that late at night and by 11:15 we were enjoying room service on our balcony overlooking the main body of the hotel. We were more than happy with our room. Is it a 5 star hotel, probably not, could it do with freshening up, probably yes but that detract from an enjoyable stay at Lindos Dream. Breakfast was served buffet style, good choice available, though they need to be taught how to grill bacon. Being on half board we had an excellent four course meal every night, tasty home made soup, choice of second course as well as choice of main course. My only gripe was the sweet course, as it was the same choice every night, being a selection of two small chocolate petit fours and two small sponge cakes or fresh fruit. Fine for one or two meals but not for the whole week. Staff were attentive and professional but rather reserved when compared to other hotels we have stayed in over the years. Lindos Dream as far as I am aware is an adults only hotel and whether that was the reason we found the hotel very quiet and on no occasion during the week was it “crowded”. The hotel is on the beach but I would take beach shoes with you if you intend to venture into the sea. The hotel is located just over a mile south of Lindos or three bus stops south of Lindos. Reception will provide you with a bus time table which we used extensively. Bus stop about 100yds from hotel with the ride to Lindos being just over 2 euros or just under 7 euros to get to Rhodes city."
