"First hotel we’ve been to in a long time where we’d return!
We stayed in the delux part of the hotel and had a swim up room. We were so happy we chose this as it comes with its little extra perks. For example, separate breakfast and optional evening dining. Which is much much quieter. Evening meals is a small select menu but if you do prefer quieter less hectic dining, then this is the perfect choice.
Rooms - our room was spacious. Clean and had lots of storage. Which most hotels don’t have these days. Free safe. Bathroom is a little dated but nothing to put us off. My only small criticism about the room is the floors don’t get cleaned enough and our feet were filthy after a shower. We didn’t ask for them to be cleaned more as I only noticed on the last few days and assumed it was due to the winds and more dust etc I am sure of we did mention it, it would be sorted.
Staff - EVERY single member of staff is friendly and accommodating. You see lots of the staff moving around in the different parts of the hotel and they start remembering your drinks orders, the children’s preferences etc. god knows how! But this is one of the best parts of the hotel. Not one member of staff is unfriendly. Special mention to demitri in the delux pool bar and Enzo in the delux dining! The lifeguard (young guy) at the delux pool was also very friendly and came to say bye to us as we’re waiting for our coach.
Food - I’m very surprised at some of the negative reviews re food. We loved it. Plenty of choice, plenty of options to eat elsewhere within the hotel and all very good. An all-inclusive buffet will always feel repetitive at times but that’s everywhere. Food quality and cleanliness of the dining areas was very good. Snack bars available throughout day. Ice creams, fruit etc. the food truck also amazing. We didn’t personally go but our kids did.
Pools - PLENTY of free sunbeds which is my favourite part of this holiday. No scrambling for beds at 5am in the morning! Pools clean, great fun and lots going on in the main pool (activity area). Waterpark great too. Pools are a little on the chilly side in the mornings.
Entertainment - kids team were brilliant. We somehow found ourselves watching some of the kids entertaining purely for the fun haha! Small criticism re adult entertainment- wasn’t our cup of tea and wasn’t enough variety, that being said there was some good acts on it just wasn’t our cup of tea.
My overall experience was really good and we can’t wait to come back. My only small improvement we’d like to see is for somewhere scenic and relaxing for adults to sit when the kids are out playing with their new friends. We often sat in the Irish bar but it has a ‘waiting for pick up’ kind of vibe. No music - acoustics loud. But the drinks are lovely.
