"Sept 2026 - premium swim up pool room in block G:
- Holiday cost is £4150 with TUI for a week so wasn’t cheap! (that’s with NHS discount)! Unfortunately wouldn’t say it was worth that much/wouldn't re-visit.
Pros
- Restaurant food is really good/plentiful. Loved the Mexican night. They are slow/non-existent taking drinks orders sometimes so often helped ourselves.
- Asian à la carte was lovely and was such good quality.
- Cocktails were fine!? Lots of bad reviews but we loved them/definitely alcoholic! Young Michalis particularly was great at making any drink at the pool bars. Lobby bar is nice for evening to get drinks in glasses.
- Can help yourself to Pepsi, beer etc in snack bar. Burger average but chicken wrap/fries were nice. Freshly prepared fruit/salad pots. No wait for food - is pre-made and kept hot.
- Michalis, Reveka & all the pool bar staff were SO friendly, our toddler adored them. Except for reception, the bar and restaurant staff are lovely.
- Can relax on loungers/in private pool whilst toddler napped. Was really quiet/peaceful with nice views of mountains.
- Given a nice bottle of rosé and treats at start of week which was nice to enjoy by pool.
- Hired a car from ‘My Car Kolymbia’ and went to Old Town, €40/day. Cheaper than Rodos cars in the resort who were fully booked.
- Entertainment cheesy as you’d expect but the team are lovely and great with kids, especially Ntando. Toddler loved the mini disco at 8pm. Not really much entertainment for young kids during day.
Cons
- Transfer dropped us off & no member of staff to be seen, no one offered to take our bags so we walked up to reception with them. Guy who served us (name began with Pt, can’t remember full name) was so rude/blunt. Said room wasn’t ready so we went away, came back & they said it’s ready but you need to wait for a luggage cart which took ages so we might as well have taken the bags ourselves. No welcome drink, no friendly welcome. When luggage carts did come they guys were lovely however.
- Pools are SO cold everywhere! Averaged 25-27 air temp but only the toddler pool is bearable as is heated. How people will cope in October I don’t know! Not much else to do here unless you love swimming in cold pools. Beach ok, is next door but have to pay for sunbeds so we just used sandy area with daughter. No beach beyond swim up pool bar & it’s so cold to even sit at swim up pool bar.
- Wouldn’t rate it a 5*, we’ve had much better service in Turkey/Lanzarote for less money!
- Not a lot to do for toddlers, feel it’s a bit of a scam as TUI advertise the water park/splash pad yet slides are only for older independent kids (they won’t let parents down the kids ones with toddlers). Splash pad is old & freezing cold, toddler didn’t want to go in it. The soft play is awful/tiny/so old and dated.
- Laziest 'lazy river' ever, no jets/movement, just freezing cold and have to push yourself along. Water park in general looks outdated & needs a refresh.
- Kids club is 4+ & baby club you have to pay for/is hidden behind a glass door that is never open so never felt welcoming?
- Cleaning was non-existent. Would knock at 8am and we’d ask her to come back. Came in to change towels/basic mop but never swept so floors always dirty, didn’t wipe down toilet/sink/mirror/bath all week - clearly wanted to get it done asap then finish work. Never replaced teabags/took dirty glasses away. At end of week I went in cleaning cupboard next to our room & stocked up on loo roll, bags & grabbed a broom to sweep the room myself.
- Minibar topped up every other day ‘apparently’ but he’d barely give us anything or not come so I had to keep going to pinch Pepsi Zero from the cart when parked outside (I left a note asking for zero/beer but he’s just give us normal Pepsi and 7up).
If you’re thinking about booking, I’d avoid end of summer when pools are colder unless you have kids over 6 ish years old who are confident swimmers/can use slides independently, otherwise very little to do if it rains, is cold or if your child can’t swim on their own!"
