"We’re a couple in our early 30s and returned to this hotel for our second visit in October, having first stayed two years ago. This time we chose a swim-up room, which was absolutely perfect - especially given the temperature of the main pools in October! One of the real highlights of this hotel (other than the stunning facilities and view!) is the staff. Every single person we met was friendly, welcoming, and genuinely attentive - they create such a warm and positive atmosphere and really make you feel at home from the moment you arrive. A cold glass of whatever you like is very much welcome after the hour transfer! We did sadly notice a decline in both the quality of food and the options available throughout the resort (street food, beach, à la carte and main restaurant) since our previous visit (beach being particularly bad!) however, the options are still good with plenty of choice (albeit not as much) throughout the day. The à la carte restaurants were a particular favourite of ours - both lunch and dinner were great, with excellent service each time. The only small downside was that the food in the main restaurant, especially at breakfast, was usually quite cold, even first thing in the morning after opening, which was a bit disappointing. Drinks were all still fantastic, and the bar staff are brilliant! The gym is well-equipped and we enjoyed using the tennis courts too, which were easy to book via the app. There is no rushing for sunbeds around the pool, with many freely available. Overall, we still very much enjoyed our stay. It was another wonderfully relaxing visit, and we left feeling refreshed and well looked after. Would we return? We'd absolutely love to however, if the prices continue to rise and the quality of the food doesn't increase then we would look at other options."

"my wife and I have just returned from a week at this hotel which was our first visit but we plan to return next year It is about an hour or so by car from the airport, we arranged our transfer via British Airways however it can easily be arranged with the hotel who have a fleet of vehicles available for transfers, island touring and the like. THe lobby entrance to the hotel is impressive and check-in was straight forward and the welcome drink of our choice was a statement to what to expect at the hotel, first class service from the moment you arrive until you leave, the front desk aware of an hours car ride to the airport offered soft drinks and snacks for the trip when we check out. We opted for a sea view swim-up room, stepping out onto a sun terrace furnished with two very comfortable sun beds and a small table and two chairs, ideal for morning coffee, the pool is of course a heated infinity pool accessed by 10 maybe 12 rooms. The sun goes beyond the room terrace at around 2pm (in October) at which time we strolled down to one of the 2 large pools where you can catch the sun for the rest of the afternoon whist the pool bar staff will ensure that you have whatever you want to drink, shout out to Richard for the excellent friendly service. The room had a very comfortable bed and pillows and the cleaning staff excellent and our bar topped up daily with drinks and snacks as wall the Nespresso pods and as importantly the air con not intrusively loud during the night. If I wanted to nit-pick a latch on the bathroom door and the water pressure whilst acceptable could be a bit better. We ate at the Wasabi Asian 3 times, the food and service exceptional. We also ate at the Greek and again the food and service was very good. That said the buffet restaurant for both dinner and breakfast was very enjoyable with lots choices and again first class table service and I noted it even had a varied range of vegan food. We did not eat lunch anywhere but there were plenty of varied options for snacks outside around the pools. Whilst we did not take any spa treatments I used the gym daily which was well equipped with top end Matrix machines as well as free weights and bottled water and towels available. We predominantly took pre-dinner cocktails and after dinner liquers at the main bar which has comfortable seating and spectacular views and a first class table service. There are undoubtedly less expensive options to stay in Rhodes however the old adage applies to the Mayia, you get what you pay for which is a 5 star premium hotel which is outstanding in every aspect and worth every penny in our opinion. "Fantastic 8 days there. Friendly and professional service everywhere Main restaurant - plenty of food options for everyone. Wasabi is better than an Italian restaurant, but that's a matter of taste. The pools are cool at first, but very helpful when the sun is shining. The beach is rocky, with plenty of sunbeds everywhere. Large room, cleaned daily. It's obvious that there's no perfect hotel, but this one, despite a few minor issues such as ventilation in the bathroom, is worth recommending and I'll definitely want to go back there."
