"We visited this hotel in October half term. We all had very mixed reviews.
First off the rooms; the rooms were immaculate and cleaned everyday if you wished, towels and bedding clean and changed. Couldn’t fault them. Semi modern.
The food;
Breakfast had plenty of choice but very random for breakfast items. The selection could have been made much smaller but with better quality items. Such as proper sausages instead of sliced hot dogs and bacon which was actually cooked instead of stacked on top of each-other so, only the top layer was cooked. Plenty of egg choices and bread and fruit.
Lunch at the pool bar was very good. Fresh made pizza, nuggets, fries, plenty of lovely salad, dips and pitta and gyros meat.
Evening meals were very random. A lot like the breakfast. I believe if quality over quantity was trialled the result would be better. Themed nights were different every night however for example for the chinese night the only things we found were spring rolls, prawn crackers and won tons. Noodles were actually spaghetti. Pretty much same with the Mexican night not much mexican food,apart from nachos, corn and wedges, no chilli, enchiladas, fajitas. Greek night had pastitcio and moussaka however consisting of mostly thick dry bechamel sauce and no meat. Meats were mainly pork every night. Hardly any chicken. Beef was debatable. If you have children and they are fussy there are no chicken nuggets, battered fish or pizza at nights just chips. There is bolognaise every night but tastes nothing like it.
The desserts are of plenty but very poor. The fruit is beautiful and plentiful.
Onto the drinks; through the day everything is self service. One type of local lager on draft, plenty of fizzy drinks that are good a water option and a tea/coffee machine. There are one of each type of wine all of which are from a machine, vile and vinegary.
These don’t start until 10am.
There are a choice of 6 cocktails on all inclusive. All are made with a choice of spirit all local generic large bottles. No choice of brands at all. Fruit juices are vile. Sugary and acidic and full of colouring defo not natural juice (same ones at breakfast).
Onto the pool; pool is clean, pool toilet’s are clean. No lifeguard. No pool rules. Towels have to be on loungers before 7:45am or you have no allocation unless next to the toilet’s. People start from 6am. There is no music (even a quiet mix) round the pool unless the darts or water aerobics are on then it’s the same 4 really loud songs. The pool area is decent. However the beat sunbathing spot in on the grassy area which can attract flies and gets muddy at times. We feel this would be better paved for how used it was. As people were dragging mud and grass into the pool.
Overall; a nice hotel in a nice area. However,we feel we wouldnt visit again. This was due to the extra money we spent on authentic drinks and food outside of the hotel."
