Electra Palace Rhodes

"My husband and I visited this hotel towards the end of October for 5 nights. Upon arrival we were greeted by Petros who was very accommodating and suggested we eat in the restaurant before checking in as it was due to close. Our room albeit quite compact was clean and functional and had a lovely view of the pool. Our room was cleaned daily and the cleaners were very courteous and helpful. The main pool was a lovely size and plenty of sunbeds to choose from. There were QR codes by the beds where you could order your drinks. This also applied to the bars inside which was a nice touch. The hotel also had its own private beach with waiter service. We didn’t get chance to sample the à la carte restaurants as they were full but the food in the main restaurant was delicious so we didn’t feel like we were missing out. It was varied and plentiful and different choices every night. The quality of the drinks were also good, with branded well known spirits on offer. We caught a bus to Rhodes old town which is worth a visit, 3 Euro each on the bus and around 20 Euro by taxi back to the hotel. You can hire a car for 35 Euro and 70 Euro for 3 days opposite the hotel if you wanted to explore further. Not much going on outside the hotel and it is a decent walk to some shops. Unfortunately the weather spoilt it for us as out of the 5 days it rained constantly for 3 of them. Although this is not the fault of the hotel and we would definitely return, just not in October !."

"A Wonderful Family Holiday! ☀️🌴 We have had a lovely stay at Electra by the Sea in Rhodes and would definitely recommend it! The hotel is fantastic, with gorgeous swimming pools and beautiful views overlooking the beach. The rooms are spacious and clean, and the food has been incredible, with a great variety to choose from. The staff are all so kind, friendly and welcoming, and everyone we encountered spoke English, which made everything so easy. There has also been a great selection of activities throughout the day, including yoga, aqua aerobics and fun games such as bingo and pub quizzes. Every evening there is different entertainment, which has been great fun to watch and enjoy as a family. The beach is lovely, although I would definitely recommend bringing swimming shoes as it is very pebbly! We also took a taxi into the beautiful town of Rhodes, which is approximately six miles away. We spent a lovely afternoon exploring the stunning Old Town and the impressive castle, which are well worth a visit. Our only criticism would be the extra beds in the family rooms. We were a family of six, with two adults and four teenagers, staying in two rooms. Unfortunately, the third person in each room had to sleep on a put-you-up bed. While these would probably be perfectly fine for younger children, they weren't particularly comfortable or suitable for teenagers or adults. A proper third bed would make a huge difference and would be a definite improvement for families travelling with older children. Overall, we have had a really lovely family break and thoroughly enjoyed our stay, even with two days of thunderstorms! 🌦️ The hotel, food, staff and entertainment have all been fantastic, and we would happily recommend it to others looking for a relaxing family holiday in Rhodes."
