"Excellent hotel with exceptional staff – just a few things that could be improved We really enjoyed our stay at Alizo. The outstanding feature of this hotel is undoubtedly the staff. Every single member of staff we encountered was friendly, welcoming and genuinely helpful. We were always greeted with a smile and nothing seemed too much trouble. It made a real difference to our stay. The complimentary taxi from Rhodes Airport to the hotel was also a lovely touch and made our arrival particularly easy. Our room was a good size, modern and very comfortable, with a lovely view towards the sea. The bathroom and shower were excellent and everything was spotlessly clean throughout our stay. Breakfast was extremely varied, with a huge and interesting selection and food being replenished constantly. The coffee was good and overall we thought the quality and choice were excellent. Some of the cooked items could have been hotter, but there was so much to choose from that this was a relatively minor point. The only real issue with breakfast was how busy the buffet area became. At peak times there were a lot of people trying to get food and drinks in quite a confined space. Perhaps having some drinks or breakfast items served at the tables could help reduce the congestion. Despite being so busy, however, the staff worked extremely hard to keep everything stocked and running smoothly. We ate dinner in the hotel restaurant on our first evening and were very impressed. The food was excellent and, in fact, we thought it was better than the meals we had at the other restaurants we visited during our stay in the area. We would definitely recommend eating at the hotel at least once. The pool area is attractive and we really enjoyed spending time there, but this was the one aspect of the hotel that we found frustrating. There simply weren't enough sunbeds for the number of guests wanting to use the pool. The hotel has a policy against reserving sunbeds and leaving them unattended, which is a good idea, but unfortunately we didn't see it being enforced. Some guests would leave belongings on sunbeds before going to breakfast or elsewhere, sometimes for quite long periods. As most guests who did secure a sunbed then tended to stay around the pool for much of the day, anyone who missed out in the morning had very little chance of getting one later and was left using the much less comfortable chairs. A member of staff supervising the pool area and politely enforcing the hotel's existing policy would make a big difference. It would give everyone a fair opportunity to enjoy the pool rather than encouraging the familiar early-morning race for sunbeds. These points aside, we thought Alizo was an excellent hotel. It is modern, exceptionally clean and very well run, with good food and, above all, an outstanding team of staff. Their warmth and friendliness really stood out and we would happily recommend the hotel."

"We have just returned from our 11 night stay at this fabulous hotel, we dined at the Alas restaurant most nights, as nowhere else could match Vera & Michael payed special attention to us, with great knowledge of the wine & menu It was my husbands birthday and Vera made a fuss of him with a birthday cake! The Cocktail bar: Angel made the best cocktails we had Mojito & Negroni’s Thanasos & Thomas were always on hand at breakfasts too We miss this place already, In our opinion got to be the Best Hotel in Rhodes Definatley a 5* experience"
