Makis Place

"We liked it a lot! We are close to everything! The restaurant is welcoming, the rooms are very good! I highly recommend"

"⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A place to enjoy and disconnect A truly beautiful and very pleasant hotel to enjoy a few days of tranquility. Everything is designed for relaxing: the rooms are nice and comfortable, and each one has a small private terrace with a table and chairs. At night, sitting there to contemplate the sky is one of those small pleasures that make the stay special. The pool area is beautiful and, above all, quiet. In addition, there is a very nice restaurant right next door, something that is very convenient after spending the day touring the island. I also thought the location was very good. It is close to the ferry port and, literally in front of the hotel, is the SeaBus stop, which takes you to the center in a matter of minutes. You can also walk to the center in about 30 minutes, although I personally recommend the SeaBus, especially if you want to go out at night and enjoy the bars and clubs. If your intention is to see different places on the island, renting a car is probably the best option, since you will have much more freedom to discover beaches, towns, and less touristy spots. Even so, the hotel's location allows you to get around quite well even without a car. In short, it is one of those places where you don't just come to sleep: you come to enjoy the atmosphere, rest, and feel like you are on vacation. It was truly a pleasure to stay here and I would definitely recommend it!"

"We have received horrible treatment at this hotel. We had a 3-night reservation that was non-refundable, paid 2 months in advance. Due to a serious family problem, we had to move up our return and we sent them several emails notifying them of what was happening, to try to arrange a partial refund that would not harm either party. THEY DID NOT REPLY, but, even though we had the transfer included, they did not come to pick us up. Once at the hotel, we tried to speak with the manager. They did not take any of our claims into account. We were in a room for a couple of hours that had cost us 591 USD, so we can give an opinion on the facilities. And we can say that the price-quality ratio is not favorable at all. The room was nothing special, in terms of the quality of the furniture. The mattress was soft, it sagged on the side. It was a superior room and the only thing that was acceptable was the location on the second floor and with a large terrace. In Spain, Agoda, with whom we had made the reservation, contacted the hotel again to obtain a refund, since neither breakfasts, nor VAT, nor tourist taxes... had taken place. They didn't achieve anything either. The lack of empathy, poor treatment of customers, and financial greed have been notable, especially considering that they surely sold the room again. NEVER BOOK A NON-CANCELLABLE RESERVATION WITH THIS HOTEL"
