The Aegean at its finest

Get ready for a masterclass in effortless Greek elegance. You’ll find Myconian Ambassador Relais & Chateaux perched just above Platis Gialos Beach, with sweeping views across the Aegean, and a cool, contemporary take on traditional Cycladic style. Days here are yours to shape: slow swims in the sea-view pool, indulgent massages in the spa, or just a glass of something cold and a quiet moment to get lost in a good book.

The concierge team are island experts, on hand to help you plan to perfection your jaunts to nearby beaches, ancient ruins, or the buzz of Mykonos Town – though you may find it hard to leave the comfort of your suite, and we can’t blame you for that. This is a place to indulge, unwind, and soak up every golden hour. It’s Mykonos, yes – but through a lens of curated calm and understated luxury.

Hotel highlights

The commitment to good food shines through in just about every dish here. They take the business of feeding you seriously – and it pays off. At Efisia, candlelit tables sit beneath the stars while the menu offers a refined take on Mediterranean favourites: fresh-off-the-boat seafood, seasonal produce, and a wine list that leans Greek (and very good).

Breakfasts are a breezy affair – best taken on the terrace, if you ask us. And whether its poolside lunch or sunset aperitifs, the focus is always on quality, freshness, and easy-going indulgence. The connection to the local producers is clear – much of what’s plated up is sourced from island farmers and fishermen, right down to the fleur de sel, harvested near Delos.

Need a sanctuary after a long day in the sun – or an even longer night on the town? Say hello to the spa: a calming, minimalist space where ancient rituals meet modern techniques for the ultimate reset.

The focus is on Thalassotherapy, harnessing the restorative power of the sea. Start with a soak in the hydrotherapy circuit and let the saltwater do its work. Then, choose your ritual – perhaps a full-body scrub with Aegean salts, a tailored facial, or a massage that unknots muscles you didn’t know you had. When it’s all over, don’t rush. Head to the relaxation deck, sip something herbal, and take a few extra minutes. After all, reality can wait.

Four sandy stretches within walking distance? Sign us up. And if that’s not high-flying enough for you, Psarou’s superyacht scene is just a stroll away, too. This is something of an enviable location in our book – close enough to the action when you want, but far enough to escape it.

The views ‘round here are postcard-worthy stuff. All shimmering blue sea, bleached stone, and whitewashed buildings that spill outwards from the shoreline. Whether you’re heading out to sea, making tracks for Mykonos Town, or simply enjoying a crisp glass of something cold on your balcony, this setting delivers holiday bliss in spades.

The pool scene. The sea views could knock us off our feet, but with a luxe, padded lounger nearby to catch us, we wouldn’t mind a bit.

Breakfast on the terrace. We’re all about simple pleasures, done well. Flaky pastries, lashings of hot coffee, and a warm island breeze. We couldn’t pick a better way to ease into the day if we tried.

The private Mediterranean cooking classes with the resident chef. Start with a morning trip to the market to source the freshest produce and catch of the day, before cooking it up with a local culinary master. And feasting on the spoils of course.
