Mykonos in the slow lane
Mykonos might be famed for its cosmopolitan flair and thumping nightlife, but there are still plenty of tranquil spots to be found on these shores. Set on a hillside overlooking Psarou Beach – which is about 20 minutes’ walk down the hill – Jenny’s Summer Houses are laid-back, low-key, and lovely.
This spot is about as quintessentially Greek as it gets. Traditional stone paths wind their way through the pristine, white-washed buildings. Inside the finish is just as airy and pristine, with a palate that’s all whites and neutrals – perfect for those hot summer days.
An onsite restaurant means you won’t have to wander far when you’re feeling peckish. If you do fancy scoping out what the local bars and tavernas are serving up, you can easily head down the hill to Psarou Beach, or across to Ornos, where plenty of options await.
