Tharroe of Mykonos

"We had a wonderful stay at Tharroe, a charming family-owned and operated hotel. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel like part of their family. Yannis, Constantinos, Ynes, Flavia, Olga, and AP were all exceptional—professional, warm, and attentive, delivering truly impeccable service throughout our visit. The pool deck offers stunning views, and the breakfast was outstanding. The atmosphere is calm and relaxed, making it clear this is not a party hotel—guests are respectful, and the overall vibe is calm and refined. Just 15 minutes away from town on a secluded quiet private gated hill. The hotel’s décor leans more traditional than contemporary, which adds to its character. As a small suggestion for Olga, the owner: removing the boat and statue on the pool deck - which obstruct the view - would further enhance the already breathtaking sea and island views. Additionally, updating the chandeliers in the rooms with more modern lighting and shifting the music on the deck and restaurant to a more lounge-style selection would elevate the ambiance even more. Overall, the truly exceptional staff made our experience unforgettable. We would absolutely return."

"We had a lovely stay at Tharroe of Mykonos and really enjoyed our holiday. It's a charming boutique hotel with friendly staff, although it didn't quite feel like a five-star experience in every respect. The standout was the service, especially from Yiannis, who was fantastic at breakfast and throughout our stay. All of the staff were helpful, arranging taxis and booking a massage for us. The room was comfortable but a little tired in places, and the balcony was much smaller than expected. The only thing that really frustrated us was the sensor-operated bathroom tap, which made it difficult to wash your face as you couldn't keep the water running or easily adjust the temperature. The hotel is around a 20-minute walk into Mykonos Town, but much of the route is along a busy road without pavements, so we usually got a taxi back for around €20. One small improvement would be poolside drinks service. We were bed and breakfast but would have happily ordered drinks throughout the day if someone had come round. We also felt the hotel lacked a relaxed bar area in the evenings, as only the restaurant seemed to be in use. The hotel couldn't help the extremely windy weather during our stay, although being on top of the hill did make it feel even windier. Overall, we had a great stay and the excellent staff really made the difference."

"The location of the hotel is superb for views over Mykonos town, the port, the bay and amazing sunset, it is also very peaceful compared to how busy the town is. Pool area and restaurant/bar amazing place to relax and take in these views. All of the staff were very welcoming and friendly. Our room was lovely, and the bed so comfy, the only thing that let it down was the air con unit which was quite dated and noisy but it didn't spoil our stay. The breakfast buffet was really good, with an assortment of hot and cold food, lots of fruit etc The walk down hill into the old town I would say is closer to 20mins, and there are no pavements. We caught the bus back up to the hotel, which was easy, cost 2euro and if you ask the driver he stops outside the hotel entrance."
