Paliouri Holidays

Greece at its natural best

Close to the southernmost tip of Halkidiki’s first ‘leg’, Paliouri is a beautiful village that’s just a few kilometres from the sea. Paliouri holidays are ideal for those looking to relax in a laid-back setting, getting closer to nature. The village itself features narrow streets and traditional, 19th-century stone houses with wooden balconies. As you stroll through the bougainvillea-laced lanes, you’ll come across a selection of local tavernas and cafés.

The whole area, meanwhile, is surrounded by pine-clad hills, making Paliouri a fantastic base for hiking and forest bathing. When you want a break from the countryside and village, head a few kilometres northeast or southeast to the coast, where you’ll find plenty of fabulous beaches. The most popular is Chrousso, where various water sports are on offer, but there are numerous unmarked coves that are yours to discover on holidays to Paliouri.

Paliouri is particularly known for its olive oil and honey production, so why not pick up a couple of bottles and jars from the shops in town?
Paliouri isn’t right on the coast, so the beaches are a good half-hour walk away. If that might be a problem for you, or you’re with the whole family, car rental could be a good idea.
