Neos Marmaras is Sithonia’s “best of both worlds” resort: a proper Greek harbour town with a beachy heartbeat and just enough buzz to keep evenings lively. When you want to swap loungers for exploring, hop on a boat trip, or head to the nearby Porto Carras estate for a marina wander and a winery tasting that tastes like summer in a glass.

Food is half the holiday here. Think grilled octopus, saganaki, and big Greek salads that crunch like they mean it, served on terraces with sea views and “just one more” energy. Finish with a scoop of something cold, then watch the harbour lights flicker on. If you fancy a trip, Nikiti’s shops and Vourvourou’s bays are within reach too.     Fly into Thessaloniki (SKG), then drive or book a transfer down to Sithonia, usually around two hours depending on traffic. There are also bus routes via Thessaloniki’s KTEL station if you’re going car-free.
    A bit of both. Days are relaxed and beachy, while evenings bring a friendly buzz around the harbour, bars and tavernas. It suits couples, families and groups who like atmosphere, not all-night chaos.
    June to September is prime beach weather. For warm seas with fewer crowds, aim for late May, June, or September. You’ll still get that golden Greek glow, just with a little more breathing space.
