"We arrived late on 7/8/26, we were shown our studio apartment for 3 people by the owner, she showed how and where everything was and was lovely! The studio was certainly big enough for myself husband and 5 year old. Large terrace with table and chairs, enough room to have inflatables not in the way and clothes rack and still plenty of room to move about. The beds were comfortable enough, no issues. The bathroom while small was more than adequate and the shower was probably one of the best we've had in this style of accommodation. Hand soap in the bathroom also which we didn't expect. Kitchen area was small, and would be a struggle to do much actual cooking, but who cooks on holiday in Greece, perfectly fine for making cereal and a coffee in the mornings. Also came with a small sponge and washing up liquid. Aircon free (with jet2) and worked well. Pool area was small but we found sunbeds what ever time we went there so I don't think it was an issue, especially as we went in the summer holidays. The bar was very reasonably priced even for cocktails €5+ and were lovely, we happily went and had a cocktail after our meal as it didn't feel like an apartment bar just another cocktail bar. We were able to keep our room on for a very reasonable price which was great as we didn't get picked up till 10pm, storage area for luggage and shower and toilet of you can't keep room on. They do close on a Sunday, the pool area is open as are the toilets but no bar or food service, we didn't find this an issue ana the deserve a day off! Across the road to the right is a lovely restaurant Elia I think where we had breakfast a few times and spent the day around that pool as it was bigger, free to use if you eat/drink, lunches were also lovely and again reasonably priced. Supermarket again if you turn right from Villa Stella. To the left as you go out is the main area of Stalis, lots of fabulous bars and restaurants takes about 20 minutes to get to the other end so not a bad walk, lots of lovely shops again reasonably priced. Favourite restaurants for us would be Kaliana Mare, Mythos and Kostas. Kostas do a Greek dancing/music evening on a Saturday night, you really need to book, it's free just obviously your food and drink (stifado was the best we'd had, so tender). We enjoy more relaxed bars which for us was moonlight bar (about 30 seconds from Villa Stella) and Meliá bar further up, also enjoyed the bar at villa stella. We would happily recommend this apartment, it's at the quieter Malia end of stalis but certainly not out of the way."
