"Booked this hotel because of how nice it looked and pretty good reviews of it overall.
Well, I was let down massively by what I read!
The hotel itself, is lovely, but very, very small! I think there's around 30 something rooms, one freezing cold pool with a very small jacuzzi and with just under 30 sunbeds around it. From our 7 night stay, we never struggled to get a sunbed which is great (even as late as 10:30 there was beds available (late May)
No fitness/animation team
No daytime entertainment, just music from the bar stereo.
Evening entertainment, well, if you're looking for entertainment, this isn't the hotel for you. There is a duo (guitarist and singer) they're phenomenal but, it doesn't tell you when or how often they play. Then there's one other act who I believe play once a week, but we didn't stay around to watch, but heard from other guests this act plays music in the restaurant and even shoves the mic in your face to sing along whilst eating!
All Inclusive, I have to say, this isn't what we expected...
Breakfast, average at best with limited options. Showed a sign for pancakes, but they don't do them. Made to order (which you have to wait for the waiter to take your order for) is an egg station which you need to check once given to you if they're actually 'properly' cooked.
Lunch, we ate mainly from the bar menu and this was the only time we felt we had a decent meal (most portions big enough for two)
Dinner, buffet (again, minimal choices) and a menu. I was advised later in our stay you can find the menu choice for the evening...in the LIFT! We used the lift once just to check it out.... Why on earth was it in the lift when we had no requirements to use it! Unfortunately, I have to say this food was a massive let down, occasionally undercooked or in what looked like 'smash' and the portion sizes from the menu were extremely small.
Unfortunately, because of this, we ate out for lunch once and dinner four nights.
If you want great food, really do not book here.
Our holiday was only saved by befriending other guests who really made it a better stay.
Drinks - limited spirit options (visible by the bottles out on the bar) draft on tap (half beer, half head)
Staff, Stella, absolute star, such a lovely woman, polite, friendly and helpful.
George, seems to be a man of many roles, waiter, room fridge replenisher and I'm sure lots of other things.
Young man (forgot his name) serving at the bar in the evening, he was known as Houdini, but was again, friendly and happy.
There are no door cards to advise room attendants to not enter etc.
Fridge is replenished daily for what you use (if AI).
Bathroom sink, massive odd shaped and red...not sure who though that was a good idea!!
Tourist tax at the hotel €10 pr/pn, can be paid either on arrival or when leaving.
There are no guest wristbands which felt weird, but also nice to not have one.
There truly is nothing to do in this hotel, so if that's what you want, then this is the place for you. We like to relax, but also like evening onsite entertainment, but, this is relaxing on a different scale.
Average age of guest when we arrived looked to be over 80, but as time went on, it started coming down, to say around 40-60 with the odd younger demographic!
Would I come back, absolutely not.
Would I recommend, if you want chill morning, noon & night, then sure, why not.
The town is a stones throw away and it's a lovely little area.
We stayed in a basic room at the front of the hotel. Traffic CAN be heard, but, once you're asleep it didn't wake us. But, our room even if woke through the night, was very very light because of the lights automatically on right outside the room.
Overall, I'd give this a 5/10 and 3* tops!"
