Horizon Beach Hotel

"Very disappointing stay. We had chosen this hotel because it was presented as being suitable for children, but there was no entertainment. The buffet was always the same, cold snacks. The mattresses were very hard and the noise started as early as 6 a.m., notably because of the cleaning staff, which made waking up particularly unpleasant. The all-inclusive package does not even include cocktails. But the worst part, the presence of numerous ants in our accommodation. After contacting our agency, we followed their advice by making a complaint at the front desk. The staff, not very welcoming, simply replied to us: "I cannot do anything for you." We do not recommend this hotel for a family vacation."

"Pros: - Great location right by the sea with access via a platform and ladder - Very clear water, ideal for snorkeling - Two beautiful sandy beaches reachable in about 15 minutes on foot each (one tourist beach and one idyllic natural beach) - Very good and varied buffet - Friendly staff outside of the reception - Free air conditioning - Water slides for children Cons: - Family room a bit dated, but functional - Disappointing sea view despite the surcharge: mainly trees and the neighboring hotel's tennis courts, with floodlights in the evening - Reception staff mostly unfriendly, uncooperative, and inflexible - Many extras for a fee despite all-inclusive (including cocktails, beach towels, sauna, slushies, and Wi-Fi in the rooms) - Inferior all-inclusive drinks, especially the soapy-salty tasting water - Unheated pools, quite cold in October - Few leisure activities for children apart from the water slides - Largely unloving, plant-poor facility without a special ambiance - Spa and fitness building musty, in great need of renovation, and partially dilapidated - Only cold shower water at peak time in the early evening"
