You’ll find Vasia Resort and Spa Sisi by Marriott nestled into the peaceful fishing village of Sisi, where brightly coloured fishing boats bob in the glittering harbour. The beach is protected by a rocky jetty, so the sea is really calm and perfect for swimming. Back at the hotel, you’ll find style and substance aplenty. This five-star property features no less than six swimming pools, including one just for kids. They’re all edged by spacious sun terraces and plenty of loungers and shade-giving parasols and a choice of two poolside bars.
Little ones are well catered for with separate pools, an outdoor playground and a hotel-run kids’ club (requires one-time registration fee of 5 Euros). And while they’re busy, adults can get involved with the daily activity programme – there’s everything from yoga classes and tennis to football and pool. You can also expect evening shows and mini discos in the amphitheatre.
The Vasia Spa is set up for relaxation. Payable in resort, grown ups will love the indoor thalassotherapy pool – it's reserved for adults and kitted out with a waterfall, massage jets, and a heated whirlpool. There are also rooms for massages and beauty treatments, as well as a steam room and a sauna. Your little ones can get involved in the pampering, too – the spa offers treatments for kids and teens. And if you want to up the pace of your day, you can head to the gym (for ages 16+) and work up a sweat.
When it comes to food and drink here, choice is the theme. Main meals are served at the buffet restaurant, which comes complete with a sprawling buffet of local and international dishes. And then you’ve got three à la carte eateries to choose from – head to the poolside international spot, or take your pick between the Itallian and Cretan restaurants for a true taste of the Mediterranean. After dinner, sip drinks at the lobby bar or the sea-view lounge bar.
