Set on the edge of the Aegean Sea, the Radisson Blu Beach Resort Hotel promises some seriously swoon-worthy views. And it’s not a case of ‘you can look but you can’t touch’, either – Volakias Beach is right on the doorstep, and has clear, turquoise waters that could give the Caribbean a run for its money. Back at the hotel, you’ve also got a choice of five swimming pools, one of which has slides for little ones.
When you’re not soaking up the sun on the beach or by the pools, there’s plenty to keep you busy. There’s an air conditioned gym, and you can get involved with games of water volleyball, aqua aerobics, tennis, and more. Yoga and pilates classes on the sea-view terrace are also bookable. Children get their own line up of events and games at the kids’ club, and the entertainment team run a programme of activities and shows during the day and into the evening. The spa, meanwhile, is the place to go for relaxation and pampering.
Feeling peckish? The main restaurant serves a buffet of international food for breakfast, lunch and dinner, and there’s often show cooking to watch. Then there are five à la carte eateries, serving up everything from Greek and Italian cuisine to South American street food and barbecued specialities. During the day, you can pick up light bites and drinks from the poolside bars. Later in the day, sip cocktails at the lobby bar, or the adults-only Chill Out bar.
