"Our whole family had an unforgettable stay at the JW Marriott Crete Resort & Spa. From the moment we arrived, we felt completely at ease. The entire resort has such a peaceful, zen atmosphere that instantly helps you relax. Every detail is beautifully designed, creating a sense of calm wherever you go. The rooms were stunning, spacious, elegant, and incredibly comfortable. A special thank you to the team for accommodating our request to have our rooms close to each other, which made our family stay even more enjoyable. What truly made our stay exceptional was the people. Everyone was so welcoming, friendly, and genuinely dedicated to making every guest feel special. Breakfast was always very busy, yet the staff remained professional, efficient, and incredibly helpful. A special shout-out to Argiro, Anastasia and Biagio Belluso at the pool bar, Ana at reception, and Stelios at the entrance. Your kindness and hospitality made a lasting impression. Of course, every member of the team contributed to making our stay so memorable. Thank you, JW Marriott Crete Resort & Spa, for creating such a wonderful experience for our family. "Stunning property ruined by poor management, rude service, and absurd rules. The JW Marriott Crete has the potential to be one of the best Marriott properties in the world, thanks to its perfect location, excellent breakfast, and great rooms with very comfortable beds. Most of the staff on the ground were super nice and genuinely polite. However, the hotel suffers from a severe lack of management skills and troubleshooting ability.We booked a Deluxe Suite with a Private Pool and Sea View, and explicitly called three times in advance to confirm an unobstructed sea view. Each time, we received annoyed responses over the phone assuring us that all rooms faced the sea. Upon arrival, we were placed in a room facing a fence. The reception staff were super rude and indifferent. The only saving grace was Mrs. Paparigopoulou, who genuinely tried her best to solve the issue. They eventually found us another room, but we had to wait until 4:30 PM to check in. Shockingly, after that ordeal, nobody from management ever called to see how we were doing or if we were settled. Instead, the only times we were contacted was the day before our departure, when they called us twice (!) just to rudely remind us that check-out was at 11:00 AM. As frequent global Marriott travelers, we found it incredibly condescending; they treated us like it was our first time in a hotel and they needed to teach us the basics .The absurdity continued with the food and beverage management. We traveled as two families (4 adults, 4 kids). When we booked a table for our party of 8 at the Guaccana restaurant the day before, we were forced to preorder our food in advance. To make matters worse, they even sent us a demanding text message in the morning saying we hadn't placed our preorder yet—all this for a restaurant that serves basic pizzas and pasta! On top of that, the food is wildly overpriced. Finally, property maintenance needs serious attention. There were goat droppings and large bugs left uncleaned in the corridors outside the rooms. While our daily cleaning lady was extremely polite, management clearly failed to instruct her to vacuum the room daily. The hostile, micromanaged atmosphere completely ruined the beautiful Cretan setting. We will not be coming back."

"Getting to and from this resort was very difficult with a car. Its a nice resort, nice grounds, beautiful room. Clean hotel. Private rooms. Access to water and the pools are beautiful. Good spread for breakfast. Good value for the room. It is a bit far for sightseeing as you have to drive in and out of the resort but good for a resort style vacation."
