"3 weeks at this hotel. It’s situated 10/15 minutes walking from Malia which in fact isn’t up to much for shopping but plenty of places to eat and drink and of course if you are young enough, the Strip! Try the old town for a wander and restaraunts too. The nearby beach for the public isn’t great but Potamas beach isn’t much of a walk and is good and also cheap for bed hire. Snack facilities are limited. Back to the hotel, it’s spotless, rooms are not very big ( they never are) but housekeeping is great, plenty of sunbeds around two pools, pretty comfortable too. We ate in a lot due to the weather and the food is excellent, couldn’t fault any meal and not overpriced. I think the real joy of this hotel is the staff, everyone is friendly and smiley. Special mention to Emma, Manos, Lindsey and Ellie and the lady in reception whose name I can’t remember (sorry) . All in all a good experience even though our last week had atrocious weather right across Crete."

"My reviews are to the point as I try to be honest and helpful as possible. We stayed at the Yiannis Manos for 10 nights in early September. The staff are amazing, nothing is too much trouble and will advise you on anything that will make your stay as pleasurable as possible. The bar and restaurant girls and boys are brilliant. The chef is a different class as all the food he served was of a very high standard. The hotel it's self is abit off the main road and a good 15 - 20 walk to get to the strip and the old town which is where the tavernas and restaurants are. We ate at 3 places but the best one was the Kalesma, perfectly cooked steak and fish done to perfection. Best tip I can give is use Google maps to find your way. The hotel rooms are of a good size but are dated with beds that are extremely hard and could do with an upgrade especially the bathrooms. Aircon if needed has to be paid for and no safes in rooms but available in reception at a cost. The rooms are cleaned and towels changed every other day. Although Malia is very much part of the nightclub scene, the hotel is far enough away from the strip so as not to effect sleeping. Plenty of sunbeds for sun worshippers. All in all we had a lovely time, great atmosphere, great food, great weather what more do you want on holiday."
