"Terrible experience! We booked 3 double rooms at this property 11 months in advance through a last-minute deal defined as “SUPERIOR studios,” and we found 3 rooms in the basement with mold (an unbearable smell), humidity, and peeling walls (all documented). Once reported, we were told that the property was full and there were no others available. I imagine it was definitely all full for a year... yeah, right! We paid for a half-board service: at breakfast, not even hot milk, and dinner is a dish chosen by the hotel, which cannot be known in advance (not even the morning of) nor replaced. Zero transparency, less than zero service. Let’s not talk about last-minute, which makes me waste time making reports that aren’t even read (judging by the out-of-context responses). Learn to be fair and transparent and to put the offered conditions in writing."

"We were completely satisfied and really felt very comfortable at the Real Palace. Pool view rooms 25 & 26 It is a small, family-run hotel with a super friendly and relaxed atmosphere. The food was very good. Every evening, salads, fruit, and the main course were brought directly to the table. And you really have to try the pizza there! 😅 I had the vegetable version and it was awesome – always fresh and homemade. In the morning, there was a small breakfast buffet. Since I like to be by myself in the morning, I was always allowed to take my breakfast up to the room. I could even take my lunch up to the room without any problems. Everything there was so laid-back and uncomplicated. It was exactly this relaxed atmosphere that we liked so much, so we just enjoyed the peace and quiet. To be honest, we didn't see that much of Crete itself 😅 – but that was perfectly fine this time around. We just wanted to switch off, not have to do anything, and enjoy the peace and quiet. It was also always pleasant and relaxed by the pool. I can truly say for myself: After this vacation, I don't need an all-inclusive vacation anymore. There is also absolutely nothing to complain about regarding the cleanliness. Of course, the property is a bit older, but everything was very clean and well-maintained. We liked it so much that we will definitely come back next year. PS: Stay away from Ouzo and Raki – risk of crashing! 😂😂 See you next year! Steffi, Susanne & Momo"

"The hotel in general was fine, a 10-minute walk to the old town. However a half board option was a massive letdown. Breakfast was a buffet-style, pretty basic. Dinner however wasn’t a buffet, you were just brought your food to the table, there was no choice. Had a Greek salad almost every night for a starter and watermelon for a dessert every single day. Soft drinks are not included with a dinner either, you have to pay for them at the bar. Room wasn’t too bad, but with a half board option was a bit disappointing."
