Le Palme

"Me and my friend have just come back from an unreal week staying in malia. The hotel was genuinely perfect lovely reception and staff. The reception area closes every night at 9pm. Location is perfect it’s situated right on the strip which is perfect for the nightlife. 10–15 mins walk to the beach and about 10 to malia old town. There’s also a big supermarket located about 5 mins away. Considering the hotel is located right on the strip the hotel is very quiet and you could not hear any noise from the strip. Air conditioning is such a reasonable price at around 7€ per day and it works amazingly. The maid was also lovely and did a really good job of cleaning the room she offered swapping the towels every other day. The pool over at the help bar, which is just across the road is perfect for what you need plenty of sun loungers and a grassed area too. The lady who works there is so lovely. You’re not allowed to bring in any food or drink from outside which is understandable as it is a bar, however we were often ok with just having a bottle of water with us. At night time they also offer some really good drink deals so would also recommend that. However, the only issue we faced was the transfer. We booked a package holiday with easyJet and our flight was a late night flight it was supposed to land around 10pm Crete time however we were delayed 2 hours and ended up getting to the location around 2am. The transfer pick up and drop off location is at the McDonalds on the strip approx 10 mins walk to the hotel. Me and my friend had to drag our suitcases through crowds of drunk people and dodge reps trying to drag us into their bars even with our suitcases. Just something to be very aware if you do have a late night flight during the busier season as this walk turns into a 20 minute due to the obstacles. 😂😭 For the price we paid Le Palme was really worth every penny we loved our stay and we would come back and stay here again in a heartbeat. "We had a very pleasant stay at this hotel. Katarina welcomed us with great kindness and attention, which immediately put us at ease. Everything was ready for our baby when we arrived, which was very appreciative. She was also available and was helpful several times during the stay. The room was very clean, with daily maintenance. We also received good advice for visits. Despite our somewhat limited English, we always managed to communicate well. We really feel that she gives the best for her hotel and for her guests to be satisfied. And above all, we don’t just feel like customers, but like real people. A big thank you for everything, we keep a very good memory of this stay! See you very soon, we hope to see you again Kisses of Leos, Remi and Marina 🥰"

"Just wanted to pop a quick thank you to all the staff at Le Palme for a wonderful stay. Room 111 so quiet yet the hotel is right near the "strip" and we couldn't hear it. Le Palmer is also close to the beautiful old town of Malia with it's authentic tavernas and restaurants. We recommend San Giorgio's Restaurant. Receptionist Georgia, we love you!! Good luck for 5th September 💞. Check in was so smooth, very late (2am!!) but we were greeted by a lovely lad. Our room was clean and spacious, beds comfy, lovely terrace with olive tree views and afternoon or early evening sun. The pool over at Help Bar across the road, is absolutely great for a swim and lovely lady Poppy served the best drinks and was so friendly. Even though it was a short visit, we loved the whole experience of Malia and would definitely stay here again."
